Gun rights - Coburn grills Sotomayor who won't answer his basic questions

How does a state define death? Isnt death pretty obvious? Most states define life as the date on your birth certificate. Id say that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness could be interpreted as the right to have an abortion. Maybe we should amend the constitution and make a right for people to have control over their own bodies. All these stupid gun laws are ridiculous too. Just makes it harder for honest people to get guns, while the badguys just buy them blackmarket and carry them illegaly anyway. I think its bs that you cant buy a gun if you have a felony.

I think you HAVE to define when life begins. It really should be when you have a heartbeat and brainwaves. Funny thing....if a man kills a pregnant woman, he is charged with 2 counts of murder. One for her, and one for the unborn child. Take a step back in time and the same woman goes and gets an abortion, but its not murder its "her body". The double standards need to stop! You are killing a baby one way or another.

There is a special place in hell for the people who perform abortions...I dont know how they can live with themselves.

I do think a lot of the gun laws are BS, and you are right about it being easier to own illiegal weapons than legal ones. The part that I cant agree with is a FELON legally owning a gun. The constitution applies to LAWFUL CITIZENS. If you break the law, your rights can and should be suspended...i.e. sent to jail, no longer able to own firearms ect.

Sotomayor is one crazy beotch, I mean I have seen some real nut-jobs come through our government, but holy crap! Her arguments have NO backing, it's just her "opinion", which is exactly opposite of what you want in a judge!

Finally, got the whole interchange on video. It's worth watching this guy in action. He's VERY respectful, but pointed with her and stays on point and keeps bringing her back. He talks about abortion for a bit, but then a long time about gun rights and a little at the end about his concerns about her belief in incorporating international law.
