Grip heater question

can anybody tell me the difference between the 16-17 axys and 18 axys grip heater elements? part numbers are different. i need some new ones. local dealer has ‘18 ones in stock, but no ‘17. I have a ‘17 sled.

Nothing as far as I know. The 19s have different plugs

I just checked the parts fiche because I was curious and the 17s and 18s have a different part number for some reason?

yep. 16 and 17 800s have same part number. 18 and 19 800s have the same part number

Yes ( well on the 16 anyway) i just corked a few of them this past week and all had the thin layer of foam backing material..
Thumb warmers still are bad- power to the wires and just doesn't work
( I mean doesn't get warm) bought a new one for a older pro 2014-2015 tried it and still has power but no heat.
Only difference was the protective outer sheave on the 16 axys same plug male/female plug.

Buy the 16

Had a 16 traded for a 18 the 16 heated grips work great my 18 do not work nearly as good my left one quit working already only 200 miles
