When was it? I was up there saturday and didnt see anything or hear about anything either. Glad i wasnt in it.
I think he's talking about the one with the Montana victim.

Jhavalanche.org had over 100 avalanches reported last week in the western area they monitor. A skier was killed yesterday in the park which is prob 40-50 miles north. Be careful out there. Please report avalanches to the center so they can flag them on the map.They have a very easy form to fill out on the web page that is updated regularly so it helps provide current info to those who take a minute to check conditions.They need accurate locations to pin them on the map.

Every hillside greater then 35 degrees up Murphy has slide, mostly the top 10-12" though and no big run outs.

Yeah me and a bud of mine were trying to punch out N. Murphy shute into the bottom bowl but two big slides created a 15 foot wall we just couldnt get over right at the top. havnt seen it slide in there that bad ever.

All you have to do is sidehill it once or find the trigger and it goes to the ground.We have terrible bottom layer with another weak layer under the last snowfall. Now we are in the freezer again building another weak layer.I am watching black mountain out my west window and there are lots of big slides and one huge slide.All of these appear natural but there are now sled tracks adventuring into the untracked slopes. I am afraid as people look harder for fresh snow they are going to get foolish and make mistakes.

Im ridding Tog this weekend its somewhat flat and safe.....lol. Yeah i saw all the slides on Black Mountain yesterday comming home from work. Theres alotta people that ride back up in there and the danger is really high. We have no base this year at all so any weight on the top layer of open face hills(sidehilling or climbing with 500lbs) and the potential for a slide is very high.
