Greenwater Conditions

Anyone riding Greenwater today? Possibly heading up there tomorrow and just curious how it was up there. Also, how the parking situation was.
Cheers!

rode thursday and it was great,

Trails were nice and smooth all the way to WJL's ,,,, parking down low at 28 mile, gate is closed, some thin snow riding up over the bypass but not really that bad, Going to waste a lot of plow money if they try and open up the road to trucks, Phil did a great job getting Pyramid back open, there were drifts up there last week 7' tall, I think they had grooming yesterday so it sould be good for little while, depends how many peoples show up today,

Pyramid was gnarly last week!

I am impressed the groomer could cut through those drifts over Pyramid because they were pretty gnarly last week. I thought the grooming was done on that stretch! That must be a little hairy cutting around that outside corner with the drop off!

plowing cost to open road to Pyramid SP

Hi Jetjohnson,

Any ballpark figure of what it would actually cost to plow open road up to the Pyramid Creek Snopark? I would speculate that many (including me) would be willing to kick in a little money to not have to ride the thin snow and extra distance between 28mi and Pyramid Creek.

Is it a state truck that plows the road or a private contractor.

Private contractor Dan - same guy that grooms.

My goal is not what you guys want to hear, i plan on messing up as much of the new snow as possiable on friday before you all show up on sat and get rained on, sorry but i will post any new gate info also tonite.:face-icon-small-hap

So after going up yesterday i met a couple at the closed lwr gate (BARE) i could see a patch of snow 100 yrd uphill and we all went for it had a good day but no reason that the gate should be closed as lots of bare spots on way to snowpark, then later i heard snowcat was broke also so not sure if anyone plowed snow yesterday after we left, only saw 2 other people yesterday and 1 of them has a broke a/c with el start, doubt if they tore up much new snow, good luck with the rain commin in today guys.
