Greenwater conditions

i heard from some snojammers that parking was at the gravel pit? i think? and plenty of snow up at the meadow, but someone please do tell. i wanna ride sunday, sat is my birthday and i wanna ride my b-day weekend for 4 years in a row.

I was there last sunday (4/15) and there was a lot of gravel between the normal upper snopark and the Y at the 7065. After the first corner on the 7065 it was all snow. It was changing fast up there but there was still a lot of snow up at the cabin and beyond. A lot melted during the day while we were riding, but it hasn't been as warm this week...

easy driving beyond the upper snow park. Time to start driving up the road and park on the shoulder. There were trucks parked by the Y. Park at the snow no gravel riding. It was climb anything snow on saturday. Fun to go up all the hills that were more difficult earlier when there was powder.

Whats nice is on the way out you find you are at the truck before you have to drive a long way. I like not having to drive the couple of miles to the gate.

Ya our group was the first 2 trucks in and the sign said no wheeled vehic's beyond this sign so we were good and rode the 1/4 mile of dirt to cabin we wanted to have someone turn the sign and it was turned by the time we made it down and lost about another 1/4 mile of snow from morning, you will find us parked on the side of the road sat. morning we will go as far as the 24' allows,

ya 1 in of fresh at crystal mt both at base and top this morning and we plan on carving it all up before any one else does at the meddows, lol.

I'm headed up probably around 10ish for a couple hours.

burgandy saburban with 4 sleds on flat bed trailer.

my goal is to be up there around the same time. dont know where we are staging but.

thinking light riding day. gotta go roall in the snow one last time this year!

and when i say roll i mean land in it when my dumb untalented *** falls off my sled! LOL

I'll be in a lifted red 94 f150 with a 2 place.

Yea, just wanna try and get my sled tuned as much as I can for next year.

Went up today, there is plenty of snow up top. T shirt all day!

I drove up past the second gravel pit, had to go 4 low but it really wasn't bad. Didn't see any other rigs up as high as I was. One guy parked at the bypass and rode from there. Most people parked a mile or 2 down from there, lots of dirt if you parked that low.

Jeepdad, I looked for your rig but didn't see it.

yeah trailer started sliding towards the edge at that first patch of ice/slush. chained up burban and trailer still no go. backed out and called it, figured that was enough excitement for one day.

sorry dood, next season. unless there is still snow in a few weeks, got wheeling and fishing trip planned next couple of weeks.

Saw both of you guys up there, just didn't know who you were. Jeepdad, I was pulling up as you were leaving. I gave it a try and didn't get much further than you did. Ryanlilly we talked a little bit as you were headed back up pyramid, we were on the black and white cats. Great day for a ride, snow is melting fast though. Might have to make one more trip up there, still lots of snow.

yeah this is the first time my car trailer didnt pay off for me. lol.

oh well! maybe next year, i'll get a true 4 place. but gotta buy a couple of newer sleds next year so...

ya i probably made some of those tire tracks that got stopped at that first big corner towing the 4 place enclosed was not good, others beat us to the meddows as i had to chain up as trailer slid as i was backing up (trailer brakes) but it was a great day sat and will pull the 2 place next time in a week or so, snow was real smooth and warmest sledding day of the year.
Last year kept towing up higher and last run may 31st and it snowed up there and was still 5 feet at cabin bet there might be more this year at same time if it doesn't get real warm, our small group had a real good time so not ready for dirt riding yet. oh ya i saved you lots of that 2 in of fresh snow in the meddows it was smooth.

Got it, no worries! Glad you made it out without any damage.
