just Called Michelle about the rumored warranty on the wet left foot bracket thing....

had heard it was a canada only recall....well and in her own subtle way she suggested whoever was saying that was WRONG...

it is a US warranty!!!

Additionally, the ball joint thing is a warranty thing too!!!

So two birds from one call, and it is all being taken care of!!!

THANKS michelle!!!!

nytro issues covered on bulletins

wet foot (complain to dealer, get fix plate)
lower balljoints (complain to dealer, get new revised joints)
lower drive gear sprocket retainer bolt (complain to dealer get new revised bolt)
wire harness chaffing (complain to dealer for new clamp and wire harness repositioning)

grips not heating sufficiant, complain and dealer tells you to buy yamahas handguard/guantlets. this one i truely dont understand. 10000 plus for a sled, and the bars dont heat right, and we gotta buy something to keep our hands warm AND fix it ourselves with a bandaid??? hello yamaha are you listening? ski

where is the rubbing taking place?as i got my sled from the states the dealer saying no warrenty for me!i should look into this deal more to see if he just an azz!!!

if you got your sled from the states, the dealers hands are kind of tied for warranting a u.s. bought sled. I'm in the same boat as you woody. call the dealer up down south and order the part. they might charge you for it, but once you replace and send warrantied item back to them they can credit you back so they can get reimbursed.

WOW!!!!! posted this same EXACT message (the other one has been edited now) but in a different site, and WOW!!!! I got BLASTED by a dealer for saying something along the lines of that I was calling them a crook or something...

the message above here is IDENTICAL to the original that I posted, and I cannot find any message in it other than praise for a great dealer that seeks to help their customers...

and to be candid, I have no idea if Michelle is charging me for the part or not, just that she knew the issue, and is solving the problem for me, which is WAY more than I can get from most dealers!!!!

point of thread was a KUDO for Oregon Trail and for Michelle...NOT to bash some other dealer...incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what this forum is for! Spread the info. I think it is up to dealers (me) to be educated on this stuff and to pass it along to the customers. I spread a lot of it on this forum because I can cover the whole west with a post. Don't worry about getting heat from someone on this MT, people gots to know!

Hey ya wanker just call me if you want your ball joints. i thought you had a different front end......

Michelle

Unfortunately the information pipeline to dealers is not very consistant. I have called the factory and smooth talked them in to giving me info that they were supposed to keep on a need to know basis.

You can't always blame the dealer for not having all the info.
