Where is the best place to stay on the mesa. I have a group coming out in couple week that has never been there. Where does a person get gas, meals, drinks, closest dealerships for parts. Also looking for a guide or someone to show us around the area. Thanks for any help

Lodging on top is limited. Grand Mesa Lodge has individual cabins. Very nice and helpful folks. They also sell fuel. Cedar edge is 15 miles to the South. Nice eating joint 5 miles or so South of there. Closest dealer that I know of is Delta to the South or back north to I70 and on to Junction. All depends on what you want or expect. I like staying in the cabins at GM Lodge, but my crew prefers a motel. If you want to drive 20 to 60 minutes each day, stay in Cedaredge or Junction. If you want to rough it a little and bring food, stay at GM Lodge.

2nd on Grand Mesa Lodge. Ride in ride out, fuel. Cook your own meals. Mike and Rose are great hosts. You can to Cedaredge for meals, Alexander lodge has bar type food, Mesa Lakes has a limited menu. Dealer in Grand Junction, Delta and Hotchkiss. Maps are at Gran Mesa Lodge and Mike at the lodge may know of a guide.

Ride in ride out, fine dinning and ski doo dealer in Paonia. Electric Mtn has spent some money remodeling their entire facilty, great cabins to sleep eight and killer rec room with craps table, pool table and satelite tv. And best of all they keep all the trails groomed around the lodge to keep the customers happy:)
Great day trip to ride from Electric over to Alexander for lunch. Direct trail ride is around 30 miles, but easy to do 100 miles if you boon dock all day.

Hmm, I don't think there is a ski doo dealer in Paonia. There is a ski-doo and Polaris dealer in Hotchkiss, 10 miles down the road ( Weekender Sports) Excellent dealer, great mechanics and usually super accommodating for folks from out of town with urgent needs.

Don't forget day trip to Vega Lodge, also about 30 miles on the trail.

Might check with Alexander Lodge, too. Top of the Mesa, go in past the Visitor Center. Over the years, I have had good stays at both Alexander and Grand Mesa Lodge.
