Had an incredible day on the Mesa yesterday. Excellent conditions for early January! 67 miles - Bonham - Kenny Creek - Leon Creek - Plexiglass - Marcott Creek - Weir and Johnson - back to Bonham.

This hill had my number. I quit after this unfortunate incident. The Red Dragon was unharmed. I got schooled by Jeff and Mason.

DSCN2271.jpg

Small natural slide on a SW face. Don't see them on southwest aspects very often. Be careful.

Looks like it's been pretty cold up there. Near Indian Crossover

This one was good for about 50 feet out and 25 down! Nice soft lander if you made tranny. Small ridge by Plexiglass

Thanks for the pics, I haven't seen that country for a couple of years, can't wait to come ride it all at the end of February. Looks like the snow is deep.

Managed about 65 miles on Sat. Light was a little flat early, but by around noon plenty of sunshine:) Great day of riding. Lots and lots of people at the trailhead.

The singe best day of riding I've ever had.

That should say it all. Blue Bird and 10-20 inches of fresh pow on a deeeeep base. Traction was awesome today. Burned a tank by 1:00, re-fueld at GM lodge, (thanks for the awesome service and hot coffee!) and then went out for round two. I'm gonna ride the couch tomorrow. Here are some teasers, more to come.

Hey Live2ride, was that you we met in the meadow where your boy was stuck? If so, nice to meet you and I hope your day was as good as ours! Maybe we'll see you guys up there again.

It got much better after he got the hang of it, today he was actually carving 1/2 circles!! ;) What a day yesterday, the snow was excellent and sunny sky, not even enough time to take out the camera!! If I would have known it was you we would have introduced ourselves!!

Is there a good trail/area map that I can get ahold of? I'm going out there in Feb and want some advise/maps, no one in my group is interested in climbing, just playing around in fields/smaller rolling hills, stuff like that....

Oh, we are supposed to meet someone from GJ to show us around a bit.

Oh, we are supposed to meet someone from GJ to show us around a bit.

Our club just made a ton of maps, most of the local dealers have some, along with the chamber of commerce, and hotels. If you need some more specific, PM me and I will make sure you get some!!!

Here's some more

I'm trying to get a video or two up, but photobucket is giving me grief. Here's some more pics in the mean time.

There's a tree under there somewhere.

Jeff seriously has a screw loose. He was boosting that snowboard jump at least 80 feet! On this one, he landed another 2 sled-lengths past the furthest visible already. Somebody get that boy a jumping sled!

Finally! I never knew uploading video was so slow. Here ya go:

This is the view from the top of some small peak just north of Muskrat res.

And it keeps coming

Rode Saturday. Snow depth is approaching biblical proportion. It's shocking. I remember it being like this back in the early 90's....but then again everthing looked bigger then! Can no longer see beyond the road, and the big yellow road signs will be under the snow after this one. Wow. Mother Nature is awesome! Grabbed a pic of the Visitor Center..or what little bit is still visible...I'll post it the next day or so.

Yes, the class was very well done, and the fact that it was tailored to snowmobiling was a great help. I learned a lot, and now want to take the Level 1 class. Thanks Mike and thanks Stacey!
