Grand mesa 12/12/10

went out to grand mesa yesterday. pretty bad up there. up toward lands end observatory area, no snow, weeds out riding on dirt and pavement. went out toward alexander lodge a little better 3ft base 12" powder still got to be careful. was pretty fun to get out and ride the sled

i know this has got to be the worst year ever for grand mesa, black mesa or uncompaghre area ever telluride still has grass showing. hopefully it will snow soon and lots ready to ride. my snow dance isnt working.

It's still early, and this is nothing compared to the drought years of the first part of this decade. But we absolutely need a good 30 - 40 inches before it's remotely "good". Best to head north at this point.

i love riding like the rest of you but its hard to et in the mood when it is 55 degrees all the time. but I guess it is still early im just impatient hopefully snow tonight and tomorrow and all next week and this weekend and 3 feet in town of montrose that would be great hopefully soon.
