gps

i'm shopping for a garmin right now. the rino 530hcx is $50 more than the 60csx. what is it that the rino can do that makes it better than the 60csx?
and is it worth the extra money?

About 4 of us have the garmin rino 120's The radio feature is awesome. When talking back and forth you can see on the gps where everyone else is. Wicked feature if someone is lost. Plus your only carrying 1 unit instead of both a gps and radio.

TOPO map

If you are thinking about 60cX or Colorado or any other Garmin products made in last 5-6 years, spend the extra $ and get yourself a TOPO map. Nice to be able to see where you are on the actual TOPO map. Shows altitude, every little creek, frozen snow covered lakes, logging roads, froestry roads plan B escape route out of the bowls and ect. It's a nice to reference yourself around with the surrounding landscapes. If anyone like to see a detialed map of your riding area, let me know the coordinates and I'll be happy to send you an image of the map.

I have a rhino and a 60csx. Both work good. I don't use the rhino for radio anymore as the reception between off brands seemed to be hit or miss. If everyone in your group has one then it is a pretty cool thing. As far as the gps use, I prefer the 60csx, bigger screen easier and quicker to use etc. I am not sure about the upper end rhinos but my 120 does not compare at all in feature, function and ease of use to the 60csx. The 60csx seems to be the gps of choice for geo caching etc.
