Personally, I never leave the parking lot with out it. When riding from a new lot, I always mark the location too. We use the peer-to-peer functionality quite a bit.
However, if you aren't using the GPS tracking and maps when you are riding now Ruffy, then having one isn't going to do you much good in an emergency.
I would encourage you to use it and keep it. But if that isn't going to happen, then sell it to someone who will.
