Goverment meadows cabin

They make a creosote burning log, not sure of the brand. Duraflame? Ok, CSL creosote sweeping log

you will also have to bring your own dry firewood as wood there has not been dryed / seasoned and not much of it, guess no one was helping stock supply or something, going to be a cold winter in the cabin this year.

wait till there is enough snow and climb up on top, brush it but you will need to haul up a cleaning kit. Peeps seam to want to burn their crap in that stove versus hauling out trash

Is it possible for the groomer to lift up those logs on the side of the cabin and will get a wood work party scheduled to cut and split some
is there any old dead wood the groomer could drag down to the cabin?

the sno jammers club built and maintains the cabin with the forest service.
we had enough wood split for the cabin but our summer time guests living at it used more than expected.
we thank those who take your garbage back out and not burn it. a stove full of batteries and other non burning stuff can't be good.

Take the screen off and put it in the fire for an hour. Bam clean screen you don't really need a screen in the winter not much fire hazards this time of year. Just make sure to put it back on before spring.

i brought a bunch of dry fire starter wood but it along with all other wood is gone now and someone put wet fir limbs in fireplace to try and get a fire going but didn't succeed, so better join the sno jammers and bring more wood up if wanting a warm cabin.

HMMM your summertime guests were burning the wood and having a fire in the middle of the summer when the woods were shut down for all sorts of burning due to the extremely dry conditions? Not good. Im surprised the cabin was not burned down and the surrounding forest....

Fairly easy access in the summer for the masses to be idiots. We camped at the horse camp over the labor day weekend and there was a little bit of wood left at the Cabin but not much.

i think 3 of us will be joining sno jammers this year comming and i have truck/mobile wood splitter/chain saws, but i will help if we put wood up after deer/elk hunting is over, notice when we go up to check on area lots of freeloaders using cabin this last year, only one couple we saw really needed it as they were hiking from top of chinook pass (30 miles) and got caught in major rain storm 4 hrs from cabin and they were soaked in 45 deg weather.
but for rest of you using facility suggest you start bringing a presto log or a few rounds up of dry wood.

A few yrs ago Dan and imet up with Phil the groomer to hall up and extension ladder. Pulled off and replaced screen and cap. There was just enough snow to ride the rode then.
