Amen, Fred. You guys that have a problem with Fred expressing is views are too caught up in the manufacturing wars. We all love riding.

My experience? 30 years on sleds, and the XP is the best sled I ever rode. And I have pretty much rode most of them. Not one single problem with mine ... set up and a good dealer are the key. Like all manufacturers.

I can't believe how defensive you have to be to make such a statement.

You whould think the best sled ever would be able to be so obvious that it would be non-stop cudos page after page. When that happens, I'll jump to whatever sled it is....
From what I can see it's not what you claim.

hmmm, least technology engine wise

... i really have some issues with the warrenty and quality control measures but i will give great credit to brps R&D program:D:D

yes i had some early issues with the xp but wow this sled rules the powder over the others, and brings the fun factor to a whole new level, love the light weight

it looks like the dragons have gotten their stuff together too, but it is still behind the xp in weight and technolgy

the BB has just finshed the package right off and i am one happy customer with the xp

love the xp

Technologically advanced chassis and design...whether or not you like the platform!

But engine wise, I beg to differ, the only sled on the market with carbs, heavy throttle pull, if you have 1500 + miles, time to start looking at a complete rebuild. The other three manufacturers are far more advanced engine wise....reliabilty and technology are the Doos engine fall backs.
Lets see the fire this starts.....truth hurts though.

you may be right in general about the motor, but for me this is not correct...

i have many years tuning with the carbs, never blew a motor since 2001, i usally run 2 to 3 years, mostly because i want the newer technolgy

as for the efi, it will be a sad day, since i find the dpm to work so well, and it is so simple

maybe in six months i might feel different, but now it is impressive to myself

lets ride the deep and enjoy:D:D

have about 600 miles since new motor and it rocks.:D.no more belt issues since motor alignment:eek:--most fun sled i've ever owned:)

LMAO, thats the best part about this thread. Hahahahahaha

"have about 600 miles since new motor"
"no more belt issues"

Sounds like the "Best Sled Ever"...........

Haha, i been busy and riding. I thought maybe you missed me, so i thought i'd chime in for old times sake. LOL

Glad your up and running again.

I hate the XP. They suck, and I say all of that because I dont have 10 large to go get one for myslef. The few I have seen on the mountain seem to go really good through the deep. Give them another year or 2 to get all the bugs worked out and the used sled value to drop to where I can afford one, then I will like it. But untill then they suck !!!

:cool:Great mix of irony and honesty!- you can obviously see where all the XP
hate mail is coming from. I hate my XP 'cause my elbows hurt from acceleration
and my cheeks cramp up from grinning! And my buds alwaysl expect me to break trail when things get deep and dicey. Hope you get yours soon!

xp

gotta give brp credit if you own a xp you only have to replace you belt every 50 miles, replace your motor at 250 miles, and get your crank welded at 500 miles!!! Gotta give brp credit??? best sled ever.

I haven't replaced a belt, motor, or welded a crank on my xp......maybe a bad dealer huh? but my bags do match my tank, are those JC? not even fair, OK I'm sorry
