gotta give BRP credit for the xp... best sled ever

Thread Rating
3.00 star(s)
... i really have some issues with the warrenty and quality control measures but i will give great credit to brps R&D program:D:D

yes i had some early issues with the xp but wow this sled rules the powder over the others, and brings the fun factor to a whole new level, love the light weight

it looks like the dragons have gotten their stuff together too, but it is still behind the xp in weight and technolgy

the BB has just finshed the package right off and i am one happy customer with the xp

love the xp

Is there any way we can pin all these "XP is the best sled ever" threads together?
Maybe start a whole new forum? Fantasy island meets snow west.
I've got 2 days ride time on one and I will admit it is an awesome sled but "the best" stocker. Well I quess that depends if you just dropped ten grand on one.
My opinion is that they handle like crap and I don't trust them to hold together long term. BUT, they did make a huge move in the right direction.

now you did it fred! there going to be screeming bloody murder. my xp rocks! no problems other than the belts, but they stood behind that, and now i have the 377 and no more problems. i installed a head and a can and it goes that much better. as for all the people that complain about the xp, i bet 75% of them dont even own one!!

XP sucks, XP rules, Nytro sucks, Nytro rules, Dragon sucks, Dragon rules, you get the idea. I'm bored with all of it.

I need to go riding!

have about 600 miles since new motor and it rocks.:D.no more belt issues since motor alignment:eek:--most fun sled i've ever owned:)

I haven't had any seat time on any other of the brands high end sleds, but I can't imagine anything being more fun and easy to operate then my XP. Compared to my friend's RMK it is definately a better handling sled, he admits it himself.

I'm not saying it's the best mountain sled every made, each brand seems to have an avantage in one area or another, and I think there's no sled that is "the best" I'm new to the mountain riding segmant, and there aren't many sleds in my area to compare too, or terrain to really test them. But so far I have been extremely impressed, and have no regrets in buying a XP.

I hate the XP. They suck, and I say all of that because I dont have 10 large to go get one for myslef. The few I have seen on the mountain seem to go really good through the deep. Give them another year or 2 to get all the bugs worked out and the used sled value to drop to where I can afford one, then I will like it. But untill then they suck !!!

we got a sour putty cat here! lol.

gotta give brp credit if you own a xp you only have to replace you belt every 50 miles, replace your motor at 250 miles, and get your crank welded at 500 miles!!! Gotta give brp credit??? best sled ever.

you guys Beotching about the XP make me wonder how long it will take Cat and Poo to drop 50 to 60 pounds off there sleds and then see if they dont have a few issues to work thru--they havent even caught up with the 06 summit x YET:eek::face-icon-small-hap:p ps 'we have put 2 belts on VE's sled in about 900 miles and none in the last 500 miles and we doo ride some powder

Just can't see how being 50 pound lighter is the trade off anyone would want for all the problems you have seen with all the doo's, that you have run over the past years. It's just a matter of time before VE's sled start with the same issues, 2 belts in 900 miles damm good for a xp. 1700 miles on my sled with just on belt change. yes my sleds over a hundred pound fatter than the xp but no issues. And yes we ride some powder also here in colo. You ride what work for you,and thats what matters. Not bashing.

who's to blame

Hey guys,
Have anyone thought about blaming themselves for some of there woes? Have been riding for 25 years and have seen and heard it all, Have hit rocks trees and tore up belts getting stuck and tracks freezing up from ice and i just blame myself, fix it and go on. Most sleds are very well built to take the abuse we give them, so don't blame it all on the manufactures...

It must be BRP's marketing department that keeps starting these threads!

At any rate they are boring and take up to much space.

I talked with everyone on this site and I have the ok to agree with you that the new XP is the greatest sled of all time! No more arguments.....now stop with these stupid threads!

And last year we all listened to the "XRS is the Bomb," threads from the same users, same $hit different pile this year.
Although I haven't heard quite as many of the "XRS is the best" threads as of late. I wonder if its cause they're all sitting for sale somewhere, and getting cheaper. Hmmmmm, I wonder if history is gonna repeat itself.

guys..guys ...guys

this thread was not to chearlead or brag... i am just so dam impressed with it

i started this thread because over the last 27 years of riding i have ridden many different sleds, lots of buddys with cats, dragons and turobed apexs, and the 15 or so of my own i have had

i had last year the xrs and if you look back you will see me say, that i was also impressed with the motor, and loved the sled, (few cluching issues)and still do a year latter

but now brp brought out the xp and just raised the bar a new level once again... just makes it tought for the other brands to catch up and hopefully they will, because it makes better sleds for us in general!!

after my last 3 day ride in armpit deep powder where other sleds were getting stuck pointing down hill, let alone not being able to climb up to me in my own tracks, it just makes a guy want to let others know how well they work in the mountains

all the others that drove it in those conditions had nothing wrong to say about it, that is impressive by itself

so please do not take this as a brp *** kissing thread, because you you look at my post history you will see i will hamer on brp many many times, just state the facks
