Got this car in trade to bad have to sell it..

To bad it's not a really shelby 500:( If it is they have changed the headlights, bumper and grille.

No it is faster than the "real one". It is a Roush which means they have put a modern suspension system under it and better breaks.

And yet the picture included in this thread is NOT the picture of the car you are selling. Clicked links to the Ebay ad and saw a pic of the actual car being sold. Both are nice but two completely different cars.

If you read the post in the swap it says the car on ebay is one LIKE it but with no supercharger. He put it there for a price comparison.

Thank you this is true. The one on ebay has the hood and qtr/deck lid spoilers and over the roof stripeswhich is better but missing the supercharger so kinda a wash.

auger'in, not to push your buttons or any thing but that car only has a 4.6 liter with a Roush super charger on it, it does not mean that the Roush team got a hold of it. The real shelby has a 5.4 liter super charged motor and was gone through in Vegas at the Shelby plant. So I highly doubt that that car is faster then a real shelby 500.

Dangit Tim, now I wish I was driving back to ND next week instead of flying. I could have swung by your place and taken it for a quick "test drive".

Of course, you might have gotten suspicious when I started loading my luggage and golf clubs in there...:beer;:p

Last year in Twin Falls Idaho someone stole a black Roush with the red racing stripe off the lot. It was on display in the corner along the main drag in twin. They got that one and a GT and no one ever found them.

Nice car!
My pa has the gt500 with the super snake kit and says it is almost as fast as his GT.
I find that hard to beleive... I have driven the GT and it is an animal!
Guess I better take the 500 out for a weekend cruise;)

At least your tax dollars won't pay to make it and then crush it....and then pay the UAW to watch it get crushed!!! LMAO!!

Thats because they've saved all that cash by making a sub-standard automobile and sell it for premium price.

BTW- Your avatar is wrong on so many levels! I bet they drive Fords! ;)

The GT is just 500hp also, right?

But I bet it's lighter than the GT500.

Bet the Super Snake eats the GT. Especially the 725hp SS.

The standard mustang gt is 300 hp, the gt500 is a shelby putting out 500hp, the super snake is a shelby that has spent some time getting the super snake option installed which 750hp and now they are talking about coming out with a kit that will push close to 950hp. With the super snake option you get alot more then just motor upgrades though.

No buttons pushed Chubby. The Roush is down on ponies to the Shelby but handles better due to upgraded suspention. I don't think straight line when talking about fast. I have been wrong before so correct as nessesary.:D

Ford GT as in GT40?

Come on, does anyone really believe with todays sh*t quality pump gas they are getting 750-900HP on pump gas. I would like to know what correction factor they are using when they dyno these things. Not only that but I find it hard to believe stock production parts ie. block, crank, pistons, rods, head bolts etc. could withstand 800HP for any length of time. I would like to see one of these things make some pulls on a dyno. They have to be creating some serious pressures in those cylinders. I would be very impressed if they weren't pushing water out the heads after a couple honest pulls.

Everything you want to know about Shelby mustangs

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelby_Mustang

The 4.6 liter, 281-cubic-inch, 319 hp (238 kW) Ford Shelby GT slots between the 300 hp (220 kW) Mustang GT and the Ford Shelby GT500. It is essentially a retail sale version of the Hertz rental-only Ford Shelby GT-H, except a manual transmission is available. Other differences include the deletion of the rear spoiler, a retro Shelby hood scoop in place of the CS6/8 Shelby hood, and silver versus the gold stripes, with the car available in either white or black in 2007 and Grabber Orange or Vista Blue for 2008. A very limited number (100) Barrett Jackson Shelby GTs were built in 2008 that were black with red stripes. The Hertz Shelby GT-H attracted so much attention that Ford dealers and customers asked for a version of their own. Like the GT-H, the Shelby GT is modified at Shelby Automotive's factory in Las Vegas, which distinguishes the GT-H and Shelby GT models from the GT500 in that the GT500's are produced entirely in Flat Rock, MI by Ford Motor Company.
Shelby and Ford returned for the 2007 model year with the Shelby GT500. Introduced at the 2003 New York International Auto Show, the GT500 uses a 5.4 L (330 CID) Modular 500 hp (370 kW) supercharged V8. Features include the Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission, suspension tuning, a body kit, and 18-inch (460 mm) wheels.

2007-2009 Shelby Cobra Mustang convertibleDeliveries of the Shelby GT500 began in May 2006.[7]
A collaboration of Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) and Carroll Shelby, the GT500 will be produced in limited quantity for three years (approximately 10,000 units per year) on the line at Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan (AutoAlliance) assembly facility.[citation needed]

2010 Shelby GT500
2010 Shelby GT500For 2010, the Shelby GT500 Mustang was redesigned along with the standard Ford Mustang, giving it a sleeker and more modern look. Just like the Dodge Viper and Chevy Corvette the GT500 is sometimes considered a supercar, due to its high performance. Along with the design changes, the GT500 gets an increase in power to 540 horsepower and 510 ft-lbs of torque. The 2010 GT500's fuel efficiency is also increased by 2 miles per gallon. [8]

The Ford Shelby GT500KR, revealed at the 2007 New York International Auto Show, was released in the spring of 2008. The car is powered by a 540 horsepower 5.4-liter (330 CID) supercharged 2 V-8 Racing Power Upgrade Pack. SVT and Shelby announced that 1,000 40th Anniversary Editions will be built for the U.S. in 2008, with another 571 units in 2009. This 1,571 production run matches that of the original 1968 GT500KR. In total, 1,746 units will be produced, with the extra 175 units going to other markets.

The Shelby GT500KR features a carbon composite hood with scoops and hood pins, a lowered front air dam, and 14-inch (360 mm) Brembo brand front brakes with functional cooling ducts. The suspension has been modified and tuned by Shelby Automobiles and Ford Racing including unique spring rates, dampers, stabilizer bars, and strut tower brace, all designed specifically for the KR.

Starting in 2008, previous 2007 Shelby GT500 Mustangs could be sent to Carroll Shelby's Special Performance Plant in Las Vegas to be rebuilt into a Super Snake, for an additional cost of $27,995. The Super Snake will offer a 605 hp 5.4L Eaton TVS supercharged version with warranty. A Kenne Bell twin-screw supercharged version with "over 725 hp" will also be available, without warranty and a 0-60 [mph] time of under four seconds.[10][11] The Super Snake is inspired by the 1967 GT500 Super Snake, a car made by Carroll Shelby for Goodyear Tires.

The Super Snake also comes with a variety of other performance, handling and cosmetic changes including badging, gauge pod, stripes, 20" Alcoa wheels, fibreglass ram-air Super Snake hood, stripes, carbon fibre front splitter and skirts, larger 6-piston Baer brakes, front and rear brake cooling ducts, complete track setup suspension, aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 differential gears and cat-back exhaust system.

Ford GT as in GT40?

Yes... He got the GT40 from Westland ford in ogden utah, then later was able to get a GT500 convertible... Both are fully loaded and have been to vegas for all of the supersnake and other upgrades.
From what I gather, both are similar engines... The gt500 is a steel block while the 40 is aluminum, and the gt came with the larger supercharger.
The upgrades on the gt40 were a different pully, Oil or tranny cooler (I forget which one) and some other items.
The gt500 got a completely diferent supercharger and other stuff.
The GT40 is unbeleivable to drive! I only took it up to 140 and still had TONS to go... It is stable as can be.
What surprised me was how it squatted in a corner then railed the turn with very little steering imput.
I tried to light it up a couple times and it would just bark and hook up.
I have not driven the gt500 before or after the upgraded SC.
Neither get driven very often, but I can take them out whenever I want.
Fear usually keeps me from driving them.
