Got the girl finished and running

Hey, basically the pictures tell the story. I knew I needed to go through the sled and fix it up, I collected the add ons for about a year maybe more and decided now was the time.

I took her apart about two months ago and took her sledding last Sunday.....She RIPPED better than I expected nearly falwless!!!!!

I will say the 7" rise on the handlebars and the forward mounting makes her a whole new animal...WOW. the tunnel dump as far as I know is the only one around and it works very good and is much quieter than the one I had!

I did not go through the motor its all stock other than bolt on stuff but I dont need much more than that.... enjoy and PM if you have any questions...

thanks! If we were to do it again the design of the can would be slightly different. I had a design in mind then my buddy who was the welder said lets try this, then the design just kept changing on the fly. In the end it was a TON of work... small changes would make it much more produce-able and not affect the performance. what you cannot see is all the noise chambers and sound deadening inside without affecting flow...

We made it from .032 stainless 1/4 hard 302. and it is so lightweight! literally the mounting brackets that we cut from the CPI can make up about 1/2 of the weight. I really wanted to make them lighter but imposing on my fried to do so would have been too much to ask at the time so we went with what we had. it is several pounds lighter than all the aftermarket ones I have picked up though. time will tell if it is durable, but I truly think it is, the welds were done by a master at welding...I hesitate to mention his name he said he wouldnt build another one!!!!

Very nice, Its fun to see what others have done to make a sled better than stock. More character than a brand new M8, XP or D8. It also helps others out to do the same or use elements of the design to make their sleds better.

The forward mount post did fit (well obviously) but I had to trim a tab off a carb boot and trim on the carbs themselves, then I wound up moving the lower post mounts to the right about 1/2 to 5/8 inches. and suprisingly even at 7" taller it is very hard to tell they are angled or (not straight up and down)...

all in all it is one terrific mod. and the electrical all worked without splicing...
