Thanks. I've been looking into converting my '11 Assault to a belt drive. Using the '13 Pro parts looked like an option but I don't want to be stuck with using the Polaris belts.

For the cleanest install, get the '13 jack shaft, bearing plate, brake disc / caliper, your driveshaft should work, and the upgrade kit from C3 for the '13.

C3 also has a kit for your assault and the '11 & '12 chaincase based PRO's, while not as clean due to the bulk of the chain case and brake disc location. For the budget minded rider it is a good option.
 
Over 700 miles now not one problem
I have not even had to adjust the belt after initial set up.

Yes one less thing to worry about breaking .
I'm still getting some heat (not as hot as before) on the top pulley but the c3 belt seems to hold up to heat better then the Polaris belt.

And the how-much-the-belt-can-take-the-heat thing is probably the biggest gain.
