Golden snow

Anyone been into Silent Pass this week? Are they still unloading at the 17 mark, thinking of going in with a 4 place enclosed, just wondering on the road conditons, i.e. mud - don't want to be getting stuck with a 4-place...

Any info greatly appreciated - Cheers -

Roads are breaking up all over the place. Frozen in the morning and in the shade and soft and soupy in the afternoon, lots of potholes. At least it was like this Sunday when I drove out. Typical spring forestry roads during break up.

I was up there yesterday and drove into the 21km to unload. The road was hard in the morning and really soft in the afternoon. That road has change alot in the last week, so I would think by the weekend you should have very little problem driving in to the 21km. There are some pretty long streches with nothing but mud and in the afternoon you would have to ride your sled through about 6" in places. Don't go passed the 21km with your truck!!

Cheers Man - how was the snow up top?

Based on your comments, not sure bringing a 4-place (car style hauler), heavey trailer in that road would be wise??? Any comments?

I'm not sure if I would try and get a bigger trailer anywhere there is snow on the road this weekend they are calling for a high temp of 20+ for sat and sun, and that is sure to chase the frost out of the ground making things really soft. I would say you should try Gorman or maybe Quartz, not sure if you can still park and ride from the lot at Quartz but I would think the chances are good, was at Gorman last weekend and the road is good and the lot is large and good for large trailers. Snow conditions are pretty much the same everywhere,Spring is here.

Avy danger has been high all year, but this weekend has the highest risk I've seen all year!!

Take extra care this weekend! S.D.

went to quartz yesterday. parking lot was dirt but the trail was groomed and had snow. snow is old. I have my wife and kids here this weekend. is there any place close to town to ride that still has snow? I mean just a trail or logging road. We are going home tomorrow but want to go for a bit of a ride first and i don't want to travel 1/2 hour west....

Avys

Need snow, concrete most of the day, softens up a little in the afternoon. Trails rotten and dangerous in the afternoon. Avy's high, rode Silvermines, Quartz and down by Fairmont, most slides I've ever seen.

Still lots of snow boys, even found some new stuff. We were out by hope last weekend. I think its officially 2-place or deck terrotory now though.

A close place to town is hospital creek. trail in is probably hooped how though and there is a mean sidehill that would not be kid friendly. blaeberry might still have snow. stop in the moberly pub for ribs after
