Installing my EZ Jacker 1.9 and a Speedwerx panel melting can. Anyone have any siggestions on clutching, mainly wieghts, to start with? I need to tune quickly, going on a three day back country trip week after next.

Also, anyone know what the rev limiter on a M1100Turbo is set at? Thanks.

Rev limiter is 8300 rpm. What do you have for weights? Personally I would run a more agressive weight. An agressive weight will allow for less total weight. This will keep the bottom end from suffering.

Perfect! Please let me know. Thanks!
hey catweasel just tried the mds weight set up it is pretty smooth but I am going back to the stock weight tomorrow has way better mid range hit in my opinion going to leave the polaris black spring in allows for quicker low end engagement will try it in the next couple of days

I would call steve and tell him how you want more mid range hit. He may be able to tell you how to weight the mid so it hits harder. I will be trying my weights this weekend.

One question. Do you think possibly that the mid range hit is still there but is masked by the weight being better in down low?

just the feel of the sled is different, with mds weights it is a very linear pull, works good but with the stock weight it is arm straightening. Big difference is at mid range with mds it pulls hard but with the stock weight it pulls harder and lifts the skis. Also the 3/4 throttle punch is gone with the mds. when I was pulling steep hills it just didn't have the same punch. Some will like the more linear pull I like the harder punch. Different strokes

From what I've heard the power is in the 7700-7800 rpm range, so I guess I'd target that range versus up near the rev limiter.

How did Steve set up your weights? I just got mine put in that i got from him and will be going out next weekend to try them out. He set me up at 86grams and with the black poo spring.

mm adjustables

Put my turbo weights in a 1100 and with stock helix pulls Luke crazy. Getting about 60-65 mile track speed and 7900 rpms. Really good pull from bottom to top. Pulls skies on trail off ground and loads good.

Steve had mine at 86g with polaris black spring again very linear pull just not the same hard pulling as stock. The spring gives better low end engagement but I personally liked how the stock weights pulled. With the mds set up peak rpm was 8075 running at 9500 ft. Stock weights pull 7650rpm and carry more track speed at that elevation. Again this is my observation on my sled.

Does it still pull hill climbs good with mds weights? Should I leave them in and try it out or will I be disappointed? Also did you notice much gain out of the eziacker?

the mds weights pull with a more linear feel if you want arm straightening turbo feel this is not the set up, for me with the stock weights and polaris spring i feel works better. The 1.9 hijacker gives a noticeable boost. If you are on hard pack or set up snow hold the @$%# ON it will flat out put a smile on your face. I put a 2 inch rox riser on my vertical post set up and pivoted it back about 3 plus inches to get feet out of wells reacts way better to rider input. that being said still heavy as hell on the down slope of camber stuff and nose dives in soft snow downhill like a fish. The throttle leaver fixes those issues to but reaction time has to be quick cause this things just builds speed quick up and down hill.

So you have tried it with stock weights and polaris black spring? Do think adding a little weight to the mds weights would help? I think I will call Steve and explain to him what you are saying and see what he thinks. Just dont want to go out west and not be happy and then not to have a place to wrench on my sled to make changes.

I rode my sled in the bighorns today, the snow is deep. The mds weights work well. Could maybe be heavier in the mid. But feel good. My sled is stock with a high flow can.

Wildcheeto I don't understand how you can run stock weights with the ezjacker 1.9. You should be hitting the rev limiter with just a can. Stock weights are only 85 grams. We are running the hijacker 2.0, with black Polaris spring and mds weights at 89.6 grams. Still hit rev limiter occasionally, so we will try another gram. This setup is working real good so far. Also have better engine breaking. Have boost set at 19.6 lbs at 6000 ft.

Couple of questions. I have never messed with weights much, always had my buddy set my clutches up. I want to do it myself.

Are adjustable wieghts worth it? MDS and Dalton's have been mentioned. Are they decent? Which is better? MTX's have been mentioned as well.

In the super deep powder I was riding with my new can (4-5 feet of light powder), I was taching around 7900. In heavy, wet powder the next day I was around 7800. On the trail I did hit the limter once.

Stock wieghts are around 85 g's I think. I am putting on my EZ jacker this week. I would think at 200 rpm's per gram, 89-90 would be right. Any thoughts?

What about springs? Do you think I would need to change out with the EZ Jacker?
