Product of the year or not I already know a dozen or more yuppie skiers who are wearing them and think they are "the bomb". Try them while riding in real powder for more then a few minutes....THEY DON'T WORK! It's simple physics man, you can't get rid of that much moisture....they are designed for mild fogging and moisture not powder riding! Hence the Yuppie skier comment...."like riding down nicely groomed slopes with all the latest and greatest products of the year".....LOL. I like their goggles but won't waste my money on a miniature fan when I know from experience it simply won't move enough air! Life aint fair!
That Habervision Eliminator fan is no good. It doesn't blow or suck anything. Just makes noise.
Any goggle can technically work with quick straps, you just have to cut the new strap and feed it into the quick strap ends. It works fine for every goggle I've bought.
As for brand; SPY Omega and Soldiers are the cats ***.
habervision all the way! Bought a set for my brother and sister in law for christmas last year, then had to buy a set for myself soon after. Went through milehighassasin. Flat light is no longer a problem for sledding and skiing and now looking at them for new sunglasses.
I've been using an older pair of the 509 Sinister and the Scott Voltage X. Except when it is very warm, I prefer the scotts. The 509's don't seal well for me and leave too much exposed skin. Although, it looks like they have redesigned them with more coverage, so they may be better now. I like the fit, comfort and protection of the Scotts, I didn't have much of a fogging issue with them either. I always take 2 pair and switch between them to keep them dry. I'm interested in the Habervision or the new 509's.
I see the Sinister's now have polarized lenses available separately. Are they going to start selling the Sinister goggles with polarized lenses already installed so you don't have to buy both?
Has anyone tried the Habervision MXT Eliminator goggles? What did you think?
I also started wearing a Klim f4 helmet as soon as they came out, and that really helped my fogging issues by keeping my head better ventillated.

>>>>We addressed this issue and as you now see the new 509 Sinisters have the oversized foam and removable nosemask. This essentially eliminates any cold weather issue that was present on the previous model.
Couple things to look for when choosing a snowmobile specific goggle...
1) Oversized foam.
2) Removable (large) nosemask
3) Hinged strap mount system
Yes, we do have polarized, however they will not be offered standard as it would drive up the goggle price point. So they are offered at $39.95 for the lens.
And honestly, if you ever have the chance, hold a set of 509's in one hand and virtually any other brand in the other and compare the overall quality. I'm very confident you'll choose 509s.
New 509 helmet matched with 509 goggles with the polarized lens...incredible combo! Tom hit a homerun.
