go pro uploading

I am going to post this here as there is not a section in electronics for GO PRO discussion.

i am trying to figure out the easiest way to get my videos onto youtube. i am not familiar with video uploading but from what i understand i need to compress the video to suitable size for the internet. what are you guys using? as of now, the raw video takes far to long to upload.

If you dont have editing software i think youtube actually lets you edit your video, which is cool for people who dont. If you have a mac edit it using imovie, or windows movie maker for PC (if its a newer laptop). Vids dont take to long for me to upload, like an hour at the most

Edit it down in an editor... Windows 7 has a Live add-on for Movie Maker that is a slick program. Edit out the boring parts, which if you have an hour of video cuts it down to like 37 seconds. Then save it and upload to YouTube. YouTube will compress it as it uploads.

Or you can also upload it to Vimeo. I would edit the movie as suggested by other folks before you upload it.
