GM- Snow depth how bad is it?????

How about giving Stingray a break?

Whatever happened, happened. No reason to keep bringing it up. He is a friend of mine and a good customer.

Him and his family dont necessarily do the same type of riding we do and that snow may have been perfect for them to have a great time.

We bash PJ for being negative all the time and stingray gets bashed for being positive about the snow conditions:face-icon-small-dis

Lets all :tea: and do our snow dance together.

Oh and PJ. It is a NMFH.....Do you wear yours on the couch :face-icon-small-sho

Actually the modular there is my nephew. I am not in the pic BUT I have a Bobardier Modular.:face-icon-small-sho

LOL, I thought that would give you a laugh.

Used to wear a bluetooth enabled helmet but the Nytro is so loud that does not work anymore. I truly hate goggles so modular it is for me. And I really do not care what anybody thinks so rib me about it if you like. :face-icon-small-hap

Ok, this is not a gear thread so back on topic.

Geez, it was a joke. You don't see them much anymore. Sorry you and your friends got so butt hurt about it.

And I haven't been negative as of yet this BR, so please let the past be the past and back off. All I have done is voice an opinion and people got worked up. Thank you and have a great Thursday.

Stingray719- I have hit rocks on the GM with a lot more snow then what is up there now, so don't feel bad. The best part about the low snow condition on the GM is that it helps you remember what parks to ride in when we get snow. :face-icon-small-hap
I wonder if we can pay are local crop duster to seed the clouds!:face-icon-small-dis

Yeah, no ch!t. 1st time I ever went up there, darn near first pull off of the trail in awesome snow. Probably 6' of base with some good pow on top, I whacked a land mine at warp speed in this meadow. Launched me out the front like a cannon. SLed flew @ss end up first, did a complete end to end 540 in the air (says my wife, I was headed towards the snow head first at about 50mph!) and landed next to me and endoed another tiime or 2.
That was a cold @ss night in the trailer putting a new trailing arm, rad rods and shock on it, -20 out. Good thing I had lotsa whisky.

Modular helmets and Yahmaha's? You should be in the Wisconsin section not Colorado. Ill bet they rip down the beet fields. hahahahahahahahha. Just kiding. Dont get offended.

No offense its all good. And as a kid in Idaho we did on occasion rip down the beet fields. :face-icon-small-hap

Didn't have a supercharged Nytro to do it then though...........

On my way home from a trip to eagle this afternoon, I decided to go over the mesa to see how bad. WOW is all I can say!!! It is totally pathetic up there right now. Never would I have thought there would be grassy hill sides on the top, at the start of January. We need not just a couple of feet for things to be ok, we need two to three storms with 3+ feet before I think about taking the sled up there. In my opinion it is getting to the point that recovering from the lack of early season snow is going to be a very very tall order. What a bummer!!!

Been here in Friscotown since 1971 and have seen a number of crap snow years. One that stands out was 80/81. A couple of friends went out on Lake Dillon New Years day in a power boat just to say they did it. One of my son's was crusing around that same day in his Camaro with his girlfriend and the T-Tops off. Breckenridge opened Christmas day and had it all skied off by 2:00 or so and closed until late January. The next year is when all the Summit County ski areas put in snowmaking equipment.

And then 82/83, reminded me of last winter. That was the year that Lake Powell filled to over capacity, and they had the store at Bullfrog sandbagged with pumps running to bail it out. Here in Frisco it's 4:00 pm and the snow now has quit, got between 3 and 4 inches. Now all my grass is covered. One of my son's is on Vail working on a semi that puked and he says the snowmobile parking area is packed. Hope the storm lasts thru the night and dumps, but I've got my doubts. Just can't believe we can't get a real snowstorm.
