Studies show there is a warming of the earth as a whole, I believe it has increased 0.32 °F during the last century. It may not seem like a lot, but enough to melt polar caps faster and keep once frozen channels open during the winters.
How many U.S. towns would be underwater, let alone the state of Florida if the water rose 1 meter? Not that it matters...

Be it from Human causes? I doubt it, the forests of the world give off 1000% more CO2 in the evening than all the cars combined.
We are on the outskirts an ice age, and history has proven that temp fluctuations occur all the time.

Then there's the natural 1% variation in a total incident light on the earth. It's a big number when you consider there's 174 Peta Watts of energy continuously hitting the earth. And, it varies due to all kinds of things. Orbital phases, space dust, solar flares, earth's magnetic field strength, even cosmic rays hitting the upper atmosphere.

Just do a little reading on what has been happening on the sun in the last few years. In 5 years global warming by CO2 will be proven wrong. It's about time, someone did a follow up to "The great global warming swindle" At least it's kinda become popular to be a doubter scientist now. Small but growing group.

If the politicians can convince the masses that birthers are nothing more than a fringe group of nuts, then the masses won't want anything to do with it. Nobody wants to be in the "outs". So they will call us, crazy, anti-obama, birthers, right wing nutjobs, whatever they can to try and convince people not to join or think like "them".
However, as bo continues to stonewall and stall, the birthers movement grows. As it grows it becomes more popular. Once it becomes "ok" to be a birther, it will take off like a rocket.

You have to give the Al Gores types a lot of credit. There's only two other examples I can think of, where this exact type of populist control is achieved. When we went to war with Germany and Japan, the de-humanization campaign, and propaganda machine took control. The other example I can think of was McCarthyism, the Red Scare.

One of the coldest July's on record here in northern Minnesota.
But on the other hand, they hit 105F in Corvallis Or, the other day. I see no pattern or trend here other than El Nino is moving in again (that means no snow for up here this winter, happened in 1998, then again in the early 2000's although the exact year slips me)
