Gilled side vents?

So I have searched and searched but can't find what I am looking for. I have found the gilled vents that boondocker makes, but was looking for different once that I remember seeing pics of. More specifically ones that look like <<<(if you will) rather than the [[[ look that boondocker has.

What other company(s) make gilled side vents if any???

Also all of the old metal mesh that came on my stock 05 M7 hood was trashed so I just ripped it all out. Do I really need any cover/filter/screen on these vents or can I just leave them without? Thanks!!!

those are more the boondocker style I was talking about. Let me see if I can find a photo of the ones I am thinking of.

I know what your talking about but i cant remember who makes them, maybe it was a member on snowest????

i think i remember what your talkin about to, i believe it was a member that made them. if i remember right they were like three or 4 diamond shaped pieces that you layered to get the gill effect. does this sound right? if not then i'm off my rocker and guess i dont know what your talkin about but i thought i remember seeing somethin like i described.

Vern FTW! Yeah those are them. I think I might have to get a set if he is still making them if I decide to try some vents this winter. Thanks!!!!!!
