Getting told to sit down at a game???

Why do people need to stand up? You can give as much energy to the team by doing everything seated. It allows everyone else to see, it allows you to use the seat you payed for, if you want to stand why not do it in standing room only or wherever standing is allowed. I can't stand it when people stand! I have only been accustom to this at races and it's plain stupid. If everyone would stay seated, eveyone could see just as much and not have to lean all the way over the 2 rows in front of them to see around the "tools" standing up.

I say when at a sporting event that you have paid for a seat or their are seats in the stadium you should be seated most of the time.

You paid for a seat--use it! I have no problem standing up during a great play, but sit the F down after. It's not fair to the people behind you that paid the same for their seats. Maybe that person has health problems that doesn't allow them to jump up and down to look OVER you. They have just as much rights as you. If everyone is standing, then stand. If not, sit the F down!

How about getting seats in the back row or up against something where nobody is behind you.

I hate when people stand up excessively. I did not pay big money to examine the moles on the back of your neck!

I think it is because these people that don't want to stand bring in their own chairs with backs on them that take up their space plus the space behind them, don't want to stand because then they have to fix their seat before the can sit down again. If you can't sit on a bench without a back rest then go sit in the seats that have the backrest and arm rests. It's 4 freaking hours. You can't sit there that long without a backrest. Stand up and stretch a bit. If you want a backrest stay home on your couch. We sit in the bench seats. I think the chairs with backrest brought from home should be banned. Its not fair for me as a ticket holder to have to keep my legs cramped behind their stupid chairs. Oh and then they complain that my knees are in their back. Well then don't lean back so freaking far. Stay in your own dang space. And if you are to fat to fit in your space then buy two freaking tickets. My space that I paid for is being invaded. So that is why I stand up to stretch my legs. I am 6'1" so I need to stand up to stretch out. So I ask again what about my rights as a ticket holder?

I personal like to stand and stretch, having front row tickets allows me to dictate when or if i want to stand. Everyone in my section is at my mercy!!!

Why would you go to the game if your just going to get pissed when everyone around you stands up? It's like the guy that goes to a rock concert and complains about it being loud. You know what you are getting into when you go. That's what going to the game is all about, cheering for your team with a bunch of obnoxious drunks you may or may not know. I have season tickets and I'm glad the people around us aren't as up tight as some of you are. Phatty is right, if you want to go to the game and dictate when you sit and stand, pay for seats in the front of your section. If you want to sit for the whole game, I'm pretty sure that's what the living room couch was invented for.
