Hey timber slug fans, just a friendly note, please stay out of our way when were on the mountain, I almost flattened one of you guys when I blew by you on my summit. lol, my buddy asked me 'hey was that a timbersled we just blew by? we went by him so fast I couldn't tell. I think we scared him away. lol

left the shack in Clemina, with some guys with TS's, headed up to the goat ridge, over the hump down to danger B, up the hill down to the glacier then looped around to the meadows, played there for about an hour until go go juice was getting low, headed back to the cabin. Curtis was there making a fire. He asked us if we knew those guys on the TS's. We left with them we said, don't know what happened too them though...He told us they spent 2 hours trying to make it out of danger basin, couldn't climb the hill. LOL

Only stopping in to say the turboed bike I took out was an absolute blast! haha wouldnt give up my turbo nytro for it. But it was a fun ride for a day!

The truth is the guys on the snow bike were probably new at the sport. Snow biking is not about competition with sleds its a different sport.most of us were snowmobilers once we chose a new and not so straight sport. .

im a snowbiker for life but i hate to say it but it is easyer then riding a sled. 3 years ago i got my first taste of the winter sports. I took out a timbersled and a rmk 600. The timbersled was tricky for about a half hour after that i felt like i had been riding them all my life, it was so simple. The sled i couldnt steer, I couldnt really manage the throttle very well and i got stuck all the time. Since then ive ridden many other sleds and I still have the same issues. But take me to the mountains on a snowbike and I have no issues riding at the same pace as many sledders minus the vertical climbs. This is just my opinion as ive never actually done it but it doesnt take a genius to hold a throttle wide open and hill climb. Just takes some balls and a big wallet to pay for the mess you create when ur sled tumbles down into a 10 grand hunk of scrap metal. I can try that climb 100 times and brake a rad shroud I might not make it but ill be riding all day without a tow rope.

It seems like when I descend to a stuck sled to help roll it over 90% of the time its a summit.

Funny i didnt get any pms for the challenge yet. Big talkers always. Im not trying to sell you into biking. Just would like some free dinner and beer. If you like i can do it on my Doo as well. Ill be in Revy tomorrow. Ill check my pms in the am. I guess we will find out who the talkers and the walkers are.

But timberslug arnt they known for timbersleds up in Edmonton. I coulda sworn that part of Canada was known for them.

What is that way down below me in the pic - hard to see - right there stuffed into the hillside… Oh yeah, one sled rolling like a turtle with his buddy sled rolled onto its side in an attempt to help. We could only look on from above in amusement, then off we went.
