I am needing to fix my gearing/clutch combination in my 04 600 rmk with a 03 700 sks motor. My primary is the stock setting from the 700 and my secondary is stock from 600. I believe my gears are a 19/39.
(Please correct me if I am wrong). I switched motors last year and ran it without changing any gears/clutch, and the performance was sub par compared to the 600 motor.

Looking for opinion on switching to 19/42 or something around there, and will the stock 72P chain work? Also if I should change clutching.

I have an 04 700 144 that I am running stock. It has the 10/58 weights and black/green spring. If you run it in ND you should have 10/64s. You can use your 600 roller sec., but should change the helix. Mine is the 58/42-.36er. I am using the black spring (the replacement for the black/red). Yours should be the same. You will have to go to a 74 pitch chain to run 19/42. Hope this helps!

i want it set up for 6000-8000ft
i ride about 100-200 miles in ND/MN at 900ft and about 700 miles at 6k-8k
i will live with the gearing and just change the weights for riding at home
the driven clutch from the 600 has a 58/42 .36 in it.
i will have to check the springs
