gear lines for clothing

i know klim is the s''' !but i have add fxr ,scotts and hmk .i am going to give my normal good prices and service . but before i get all this going in these lines is there any interest ? i might stay with pipes , seats and skis and drop clothing it is all a go with them just want a idea

Alot of people like those three better then Klim.Plus now you will have more selection to choose from instead of one line.:)

I'm a die hard Klim guy but not everybody is.Seeing more and more of the other brands on the hills and that is good.Keeps the prices lower if there is competition between brands.

all brands have good stuff these days, I have some kilm gear that I really like and some I sold on e-bay becuse I felt it wasnt worth keeping.

I'm sure all brands/people have similar items.

Reality is, make a choice and hope you like it cuz who can afford multiple sets of everything?

I think your question has been missed here Rod.

I believe you are asking if you should even bother selling clothing OR just stick to parts and accessories, no soft wear.

Correct?

Only you can really answer that by looking at your past sales of the gear/ clothing. That and see if the time spent on clothing sales might have taken away from sales of other items.

And, what has your higher profit margin, least time required to deal with?

I'd think answering questions about gear will take less than time than helping someone set up their piped sled.... BUT maybe not?

It's seems to me that all my friends including me go for style rather than " what's a name brand such as klim" lots of people in my area like stuff with designs. Just my .02

well if you take the orders and deal with good guys that you can rely on to drop ship efficiently..probably worth a try...i sure wouldn;t want to have to hold inventory in clothing though...man if ya don;t sell it you got to hold it 7 months till back in season...let the big guys hold it...you sell it and get your cut..thats the only way i would work with clothing...

i have a hmk predator coat and a kilm tomahawk coat but the pull over type i like the hmk better it feels alot better then the kilm over my tek vest had both for 2 years. the hmk looks alot better also snow camo, plus it seems to stay cleaner. my .02

I need to upgrade my clothing and like the HMK and Scott gear. My Klim stuff is great but piss on them if they can't support the smaller guys.
