Gear combinations for Pro RMK

Looks to me from what i've seen on dyno tech and now with slp single pipe dyno sheet 8150 rpm is where you want to be..

You can but I had the rear shock spring cranked up.. im just starting to play with the rear skid making different adjustments here and there... It feels to me the shocks are valve way stiff..

Chain case

Thanks Matt.

I tried gearing up yesterday and my 40 tooth bottom would not fit on the splined shaft! I tried another 42 tooth I had, that would not fit on the shaft. I tried all my bottom gears, would not fit on the shaft.
Also the chain is too short, as I tried to throw in a 21 tooth top gear and have to wait to hopefully,, to let my chain stretch a little bit. (1 mile on the odometer so it needs some break-in).

Anybody have any thoughts or had these problems too?

I wanted to test gearing my Rmk Assault down today. Wanted 19/43, but I got the same problem with lower sprocket..part number 3221188 43 tooth would not fit on shaft..smaller dia on my sprocket..anybody know partnumbers on new lower sprockets? Ended up putting 19t on top and stock 42 low...maybe good combination..?

A buddy of mine just changed his gearing to 18:43. Both sprockets were from TEAM Industries. He said the bottom sprocket fit, but he really had to mess with it. He said you had to have it perfectly square, and it is a very close tolerance fit.

IQ gears won't work?

Any one else know if this is an issue. Mountain Horse- do you know if the gearing is interchangeable?? I would really like to do some gearing changes on mine.

Just changed my gears to 19:43. both TEAM Industries Polaris gears. Top slid right on, bottom had to be perfectly square to slide on, but it works.

Funny!
Thanks for the info NapaMatt.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe top speed with stock gearing is 89mph, and I have checked mine on the recall. Guess what? 89 mph!
I think I am going to try 21: gears for low elevation.
