"If you pay inside with a credit card you can get as much as you want."

Not at the Chevron in Hope (BC)! They only allow you to pre authorize $100.00 at a time on a credit card and $70.00 at a time on debit.

Problem is fixed; Hope Chevron doesn’t get $2,000.00/year of my business. I don’t have the patience to beg for their product! I AM THE CUSTOMER.

I can afford to drive down the road with $60,000.00 worth of truck, trailer and sleds because I earn a living treating my customers like kings and queens.

I am wondering...

Is the reason that the companies do not accept large bills because of Counterfeiting?
The U.S. currency has to be updated perhaps. Canadian currency has anti theft stripes and other markers that only infared scanners can detect.
I have not had much trouble with any retailers or gas stations accepting 100$ bills, as long as they don't have to give 80$ change... and that is for robbery reasons.
