How's the 11 running? What clutching changes?

Tore my 11 down to install the Northstar kit, the sled have 600 miles on it and the cylinders looked brand new not a skuff. The piston looked new other than the top and bottom corners were they rock. The northstar piston's are a nat's a$$ thicker and a lot taller. They have six little holes on the sides to let oil through. Good idea. Can't wait to go testing.

So basically by putting this kit in our sleds it'd be more bullet proof then the stock pistons?? if they're taller and thicker?

I was told today by a little bird that, north star is using a cat piston, just what I heard, maybe someone from NS can confirm.

My 11 was a little bit finicky for fuel. I'm changing to 12 injectors.....I think it will clean it up. Running 1062 weights.

Not sure you can, head must be machined to compensate for lifting cylinder with shim.

You must exchange the head. This is one of the main reason I went with this kit, with the head changes you get excellent performance with 87 ethanol. Safe and don't have to worry about finding non-ethanol fuel.

More BULLET PROOF than stock?....... Ah.... we're talking about Polaris motors here. A thicker and taller piston WILL increase depenability. And kick-a$$ performance to boot.

I know that you have use their head design. Just wondering if I can buy the complete kit head and all plus keep my stock one. I may need it for something else we have planned.

That's a better word to use more dependable. This is starting to sound very very tempting. I've got money I won from Vegas burning a hole in my pocket

The odds at Northstar are much better than Vegas. (Not including the buffets)

the price with just the kit will be 1100$

We have a local sled shop with plenty of know how on tuning etc. If I buy this kit can we get this done by shipping the necessary parts to you and well install the rest? I also have the power commander already.

Unfortunately, I know the answer to your question, but I will let the boys at Northstar answer that. I'm not big on giving away other people's secrets.....lol. I will tell u this.....if it works it doesn't matter! ; )

Honestly, I wasnt bashing them at all, I was just saying I heard that as well.
I'm with ya, if it works, great, good on them. I will give credit where credit is due. If they can make sledders happy there are doing something right!

Sounds good to me if it has Cat pistons. Heck, I wish it had a complete Cat motor.
