FYI-NORTHSTAR PERFORMANCE KIT

So is this correct, the sled on the right was a 12 pro with a kit, and the left was a 13 with a kit, and the 12 pro wins? I would had thought the 13 would had won.

Like treeboss said it got out on the left in the fresh powder and the other 2 sleds stayed on the hardback but even with it in the fresh snow it still kept up with the 12 pro in the hard pack snow

Thanks for getting it posted - can't wait to get it on the snow and feel the difference. Appreciate all that you guys did. These are great guys to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. Straight up, no BS, took the sled on the snow to get it fine tuned/dialed in and a damn good price point. Thanks Kobi, Drew and Northstar.

Any updates on testing this kit with the boondocker fuel controller? Also i would have to install this kit myself. What would i all need to check before and after the install? I live in Iowa roughly 2800' elevation and take multiple trips west 8-10,000'. Do you have maps for both elevations and clutching set ups?

Any updates

I am trying to find somewhere to ride Friday. Most of the reports are not good. Snow at the high elevations but hard to access - lots of mud trying to get to the snow from what I am hearing. If anyone has any suggestions coming from Salt Lake City (Star Valley, Island Park, or ??) please advise ASAP. Looking at leaving tomorrow(Thur) noon time and ride all day Friday

I'm trying mine on Friday in Island Park. I'll give u an update soon.

Great, hungry for solid intel on this. Wrote them and asked about a deal on this. Would like to send monoblock, head + pistons of for cryo treatment when I'm doing this.

Arrived in IP about an hour ago - hardly any snow here. Hopefully, some more snow at higher elevation, 7pm mountain time and the outside temps are 39*. A hell of a lot of ice, already slid once at 5-10mph in the Ponds parking lot, damn near jack knifed. Will report after the ride (hopefully) tomorrow.

Shouldve went towards Jackson or McCall they have snow! I'm tempted to do this to my sled

star valley wyoming has great snow, i put on a 128 miles this past weekend and didnt hit anything, willow creek, smiths fork is where i would go, i am heading there again this weekend

Snow conditions were awful. went up Black Canyon, did the loop, got off trail quite a bit and the snow was terrible - hard, uneven (had been rained on a few days prior from what a few other riders told me that we met up high). Can't really give much of a report until I get it in better snow. Sounds like I should have gone to Star Valley. I did notice that the vibration was GREATLY reduced. Seemed to not miss a beat, no bog or miss, RPM's held great, but again, nothing to really see how it performs under a load, pulls, etc in decent snow. Temps got WAY HIGH on the ice pack trails with scratchers down - over 190* at times, never had temps that high last year even in marginal snow pack. Seemed to run hotter overall, but again, such pizz poor conditions, will have to wait for a more accurate report. Kobi - how was Star Valley?

I rode mine on Friday in very poor snow conditions in Island Park. The snow was like concrete. With that being said, the sled ran very well. It ran cooler than normal (average 125 degrees). It was constantly hitting the rev limiter which tells me we are hopefully building more power. I'm going to add more weight before the next ride.....I think she will handle it. There is far less vibration from the motor. My sled is an 11 and Im thinking of getting her flashed to a 12 and putting in the 12 injectors. Time will tell, but I think Im going to really like the kit!

Contact!

Talked to Kobi (sp?), ha got my e-mails. Just swamped with work, good for them. Seems like they're doing something right.

TTT

So we did something a little crazy. We decided to try the kit on an 09 dragon. Kobe and the boys put it all together and we tried it today. Wow...talk about waking her up! Sled ran great. Cooler temps, held tach, and ran right with the pros. If u want to help a dragon I highly recommend it. And very smooth.....like butter!
