fuel injector cleaner

anyone ever run any fuel injector cleaner through their sled? just wondering if its safe to do so, or if there is a particular brand/formula that you need to use with a 2 stroke.

Use SeaFoam, anything else is just a waste of money. I use it in my sleds, vehicles, bikes, anything with a motor. Can be used as a stabilizer also.

I ONLY use the Cat brand injector cleaner. Part # 0436-904. Sea foam is WAAAAAAY too aggressive, unless you have really neglected UR engine. For an engine that runs fine, yet just needs maintenance-I have had gr8 results w/ the A/C brand-$8 or so.:face-icon-small-hap

WOW

YIPES. Slednut on King Cat, Hold it down a little and please crank the fonts back a dozen or so.

Actually Sea Foam is great stuff and will work fine. Like most Cat lubricants the Cat cleaner is WAY overpriced and made for them by someone else for sure. If it works as good as Sea Foam it is still only worth $3-4 a can . No where near $8.

Sea Foam is potent stuff

I wouldn't recommend it.

Seen it destroy multiple injector pumps in diesels.

Its a harsh cleaner with no lubricity.

For cars I really like the Lucas fuel injector cleaner. Works well in diesels too and has about the same lubricity as diesel fuel.

I haven't tried anything in my sled, but I would definitely not use Sea Foam.
