Free Stickers: snowmobiling is not a crime

Several months ago I was thinking there were some parallels between skateboarding back in the day and snowmobiling now. People were trying to regulate or put outright bans on skateboarding for various reasons. As part of a movement to gain visibility and put a sense of perspective around the issue "Skateboarding is not a crime" bumper stickers started showing up. I thought it would be cool to print up some "Snowmobiling is not a crime stickers" and hand them out.

While nobody is really saying that snowmobiling is a crime, unless you are doing something illegal, I think it is a good idea to remind people of this fact. I have had a number of these stickers printed up and would be happy to give them away to anyone that wants one. They are 8.5" x 1.5" and look like the image below. I should have them ready to go in a week or two, but if you would like to send a self addressed stamped envelope I will get them out to you ASAP.

These are totally free of charge, with no payment expected or implied. However, if you would like to make a donation towards having the next batch printed up, feel free to throw something in the envelope. My goal is to get thousands of these out there.

I have recently noticed that a certain company is now using this slogan. There is no relation or link between them and this effort.

For stickers send a SASE to:

You are so right

It seems as if the older more established "senior members" (not all) of established snowmobile clubs (Hey I am 43 so no prejudice), some of editors of snowmobile magazine industry, cash starved states seem guilty of leading us down the path of criminalization, over-regulation, taxation, closure, etc. More trail fees, higher tabs fee, registration fees, parking fees, etc, etc.

I don't even register my snowmobile in Washington State because its a tax not a registration. I ride in BC because its free. What also bugs me is the cop /forest service riding around harassing people about about useless issues like, tags, tires, parking total BS

I chose this sport to get away from the oppressive state/city/town sponsored hassles.

It seems like freedom of snowmobiling is slowing dying:(

Call it what you like but you are only hurting the sport by not registering your sled. At least in Colorado (could be different there) but your money helps keep areas open.

No different in Washington at all.
I would pay 5 times as much as I have to pay now if I knew the $$$ would end up in the hands of the groomers and not our crooked governor.
Yes, you are hurting sledding in Washington State but as long as you only ride in BC and never ride on the trails MY money goes to keep signed and groomed then I guess no harm done.
Thanks for nothing.

Hi

The stickers are printed and shipping out. I shoud have them in 2-3 days, so sometime this week or early next. I have a stack of envelopes ready to go, and some contributions for further printings thank you very much. If you want to send your self addressed stamped envelope I will be getting them out as soon as they show up.

The stickers are 8 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall and are a plastic/vinyl that will work on a sled, car, window, etc. very well.

Someone asked about PayPal. If you would like to PayPal a donation to the effort you can use: admin@sledspace.com

Again, these are totally free, as the goal is to get these out there. We have received requests from all over the US, and a couple from Sweden. Any donations included with envelopes or via PayPal will go directly to printing more up.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

TTT

Sending you some $$$ in the AM.Looking forward to the stickers for my truck/trailer.:)

Thanks,Pete

What is the shipping cost for a couple stickers to me in Norway? I want some :D

Good work, and a great idea!

sent out an envelope and $$ a week or so ago...still no stickers, too much demand?:face-icon-small-dis

or am i an easy target for scamming?:face-icon-small-sad:doh:

No scam here.......

I am kind of feeling like I have been scammed. I ordered the stickers over a month ago and was told I would have them within two weeks. My plan was to have peoples envelopes show up about the same time so I could stuff them and get them out. Well that should have happened 2-3 weeks ago. The crazy thing is that I went with a very reputable vendor. They are now telling me that they were shipped out yesterday and I hope this is the case. I will get you stickers soon, no matter what.

Sorry for the slight delay, I will try to make it up to all of you. There will be plenty of stickers.
