It may be a crime in my book, not to long ago myself and a couple friends were out enjoying a bluebird sent straight from heaven day in a national forest close to me. We were curious about the airplane circling overhead and several forest service vehicles with trailers parked in the lot. We found out what they were up to on our way back to the truck, a forest service agent stepped out from behind a tree (gun drawn) blocking the trail and demanded that we shut our sleds down. She informed us we were in violation of CFR code blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and that the eye in the sky had GPS coordinates revealing that we had trespassed into the wilderness. To make a long long long long story short we had to spend the rest of the day proving our innocence as we were positively guilty until proving ourselves innocent. At the end of the long long long drawn out afternoon proving that we were innocent (basically towing the ring leader to the scene of the alleged crime, no he could not ride worth a damn) the ring leader said, "Sorry for the inconvenience guys, our mistake". I'm guesstimating this mistake at roughly $5,000/day, talk about wise use of my tax dollars. SNOWMOBILING IS NOT A CRIME!!!!!!!
