I've been using non o-ring chains now for 3 seasons with great results. I can't feel more power but If there is any truth to belts being more efficient then a non oring has got to be more efficient then an o-ring chain.
I did a test last year with a brand new rk o ring in the chain case and a brand new rk non o-ring on the main chain. Sprayed the non o-ring with chain wax once in a while. After a season the o-ring chain actually stretched more than the non. $25 chain vs an $80 chain. I'd call that free horsepower.

some post on here the last few years riders had noticed less drag with DIDvx2 chain. I put one on last year mid season, yes noticeable less drag. I judge that " noticeable less friction " first when releasing the tie downs on my sloped ramp on the back of the pickup when un loading, doesn't roll down like a wagon, but way less work pulling it backwards. Bigger sprockets and better chain, rolls freer when you let off the gas.

yes lots of testing, All sleds that were chain drive are not O ring type and very flexible and run in a oil bath, The belt drive addition adds lots of snap and rpm.typically 5 % hp at full throttle
