Background info;

Rear Fox Float shock out of float rear suspension blew after 1 month and maybe 20 miles. I've called Fox 3 times so far, each time I've heard something different.

Oh yea, When you call, the automated operator says estimated hold time 1 min. every single time. Try more like 15 min.

Anyone else ever deal with their warranty issues?

Yep, on my Mtn Bike. $3500 bike, one week old, blew a seal. (I did not blow a seal all of you sick bastages, maybe a walrus, but not a seal). Anyway, took forever to get it back. They are so large in the shock world that they have lost themselves in customer service and repair.

++10 to Michelle, and in case anyone was wondering, the float skid set up rocks. I don't have alot of time on it, but what was obvious is this. The float shock doesn't rebound so well, so the stutters and whoopty doos kinda suck, but man-oh-man that thing soaks up the big hits.

So, in other words, may not be the ticket for the hard core trail riders, but if you ride the trail to get the mountains, this skid is sweeeet!! I had to switch back to regular skid this past weekend and man I already miss my float skid.

If your on the fence or just now had the idea of going with Cat's Fox Float Skid, go for it, and you had better get it from Michelle.


PS, I think I got it worked out with the folks at Fox in Cali, but if it doesnt work out, I'll be calling Michelle.

+2 had a shock rear DHX 5.0 Coil blowout/rebound quit working on my Mt Bike, gave up hope, bought another shock. It finally showed up close to 2.5 months later, at least it was repaired.
