Found a little snow :)

Cub river maybe? Looks like a good time! Jealous for sure :face-icon-small-sho

If it was Cub I would have some good footage by now, but we had so much fun on Saturday all i filimed was 30 seconds of sidehilling and it was back to riding and never pulled the camera back out again.:face-icon-small-hap

It was a little risky but for 9 of us to go up there and have no damage i will take it, I can't wait to go back there or here by the house and hopefully be on a new Pro, if anyone wants a TT Cat with a ton of power go check out the swap meet :face-icon-small-coo:first:

speaking of the filming id like to see it ;) tomorrow we going to go fill out the papers for the sleds??

looks fun. that is lucky to make it out with no damage!

p.s. does everyone really wanna sell their proven cats based on one little november ride on the pro?? no offense to the poo riders, i think the pro is freaking sweet, but come on, lets wait and see how they hold up. remember the first year of the xp?? remember the 900?? I think i'll keep my m for at least another season. Plus, i cant go buy a 1000 cc two stroke in the pro :)

I had an 09 XP and that thing went down 5 times, 2nd year wasn't much better. I like my turbo Cat even though I have only 1 ride on it, but the thing about the Pro is the chassis. The motor is strong but the way that chassis allows me to sidehill and hold it there with no effort is what I would love to have so I can be that much better in the trees.

It's a competition between everyone in the group to be the best rider and I believe this sled gives me the upper hand in getting the sled through the trees unstuck and with alot less effort to do it. I will take my chances with Polaris this year. besides my Poo dealer is only 5 miles compared to my Doo dealer which is 40 miles, and they have back up sleds for me to use if my Poo goes down or has problems, so I will sell the Cat and buy a Pro!!:first:

Hillclimbr,

I have a couple of thoughts on your desire to be the best in your group, I would normally keep my mouth shut, but since I am already the "angry man" of the thread, here goes.

My favorite riders can ride. It doesn't matter what they ride, they can ride. One comes to mind that put my daughters phazer over a hill that had 800's stuck on it.

Your decision to abandon the hcr and go pro is based on very poor riding conditions. If you go back and look at your pictures, most of the sleds hold themselves while stopped. This shows to me the snow is too shallow to even NEED this style of turn, let alone be able to tell which sled excells at that type of turn. Take a look at your track depth and how much you actually cut into the hill.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome you want to learn, and this is definetely the time to practice.

BUT. Think forward to when there is six more feet of snow and every ounce of hp is used to maintain speed. I guarantee you that a couple of your turns would not have been accomplished at the speed and ease that you did them the other day. That turbo will be greatly missed once the logs are covered up.

Personally, I don't ride a turbo, I have nothing against the pro or any other sled. My thought simply is, if you want to further your own abilities, you don't need a miracle sled to do it. Just like every other sled, it will have it's downs. I would love for it to be the next big thing. I have polaris dealers closer to me than any other, so that would be awesome.

Now I have to get my angry butt off the computer and go harass some more young kids.

(actually I have to go get some more oxy, my surgery last week could have gone better)

My $.02, not that anyone asked for it :), never buy a new sled the first year it comes out. I have no doubt it will be a great sled, but NO new sled comes out with no bugs. If you are patient and wait, you will get a better sled (if you still want it), and you will know A LOT better exactly what it is you're buying. I know very well the urge to have the latest and greatest, but by this time next year or actually sooner than that, there will be all kinds of posts on here by people who know sleds and will give honest opinions about pros and cons. Let someone else be the guinea pig, and you'll benefit from their "testing" without spending a dime to get it.

^^What he said!^^:first:

someone has to buy new products or we never get better or cheaper (like sleds get cheaper), but enough people spent fortunes on the first flat screens that now they're unbelievable and cheap.

however, i'll be letting a family member make that stride this year by buying the pro.:face-icon-small-hap

oh, p.s., don't sneeze on that new pro or they won't warranty it.

There will ALWAYS be people out there willing to buy the brand new sled even if you don't.

well i'm being a guinea pig.. i switched my deposit over from the red pro to a silver assault.. wanted orange but my dealer is hooking me up with orange side panels. now I just need to find a wrap and ride the crap out of it!

I wouldn't sweat it, Polaris has an excellent track record the past few years... :pound:

i'm not worried. if anything happens ive got a 2 year warranty or until that sled has a turbo.. and ive got an m8 that will be ready to ride. Polaris can't really afford to screw up on this sled or I think they will be declaring bankruptcy. but if it does go down you can all laugh at me and call me an idiot. but if it doesn't i'll still have a smile on my face :face-icon-small-coo

IDSpud no hate here in this thread!! I'm impressed that this thread has stayed on track for over 1 page so far. I rode the Pro last May in deep snow and fell in love with it then but decided to go with an M chassis. Then I rode the Pro again last weekend and it seemed better then the Pro last spring. I love my turbo and it ran great and if it dont sell for what I need out of it then I will keep it and ride it and that's just fine with me to. Either the M or the Pro is what I need to better my riding skills not an XP where they are always wanting to be on both ski's. When the snow is 4 feet of fluff I'm sure that's where the turbo will really out shine the Pro. Time will tell what I do but I would love to be on the Pro
