Im planning a Summit trip in mid October! Of course its dependant on snow conditions so no solid dates yet. Im hoping to get a few hours of riding in before I smash my A-Arms into something.
I'll probably be on that trip as well. Don't worry, we will tell you how deep it was 
I was just about to ask the same thing. This shout box, ratings and other additions is crap! It's a snowmachine forum for sled port, not who posts the most and who rates better

Oct 17th was the first ride last year at summit, and I am sure it will be around the same time this year. I'll let you know how the snow as I didn't see any of you there that weekend last year and the snow that days was awsome no rock just deep!!!!!

We werent there last year because Pville was DEEP back in the hills by October 10th. Doubt well see that again this year so Summit is the plan as usual. See you there man.
Planning to ride up the kasatan ,big river, black sands area. I rode there in 2004 and would like to ride the area again. and would like to ride beluga to sleeping lady area too. cross country boondocking.
are those both 100+ mile rides? big river rides for later in the season I am assuming
Team Pink was going to do a ladies ride to Sleeping Lady last year in April ~ but they ended up joining us at Eureka instead. I wouldn't mind a couple of cross country rides this year.

Eureka 2 Valdez...
Anyone ridden from Eureka to valdez? I would like to make this trek this year... anyone with experience willing to share details or possibly join groups and do it?

I'm in, any weekend is good for me. Summit, Cantwell, & would consider Eureka again. If they'll let me back in that place.....
Hahaha, actually, they made it up there 2 years ago (one of their first rides, BTW!)
I (we) tried 2 years in a row to go from Valdez to Eureka, and have not made it.... First time we got turned around but could not even go back due to 0 visibility, the second time we made it back but there was not way we could have gone further due to weather... So hopefully this winter
And YES, I LOVE longer rides full of exploring!!!!!

There has a bulletin posted in the bar since March of 2007 with yours and Nikolai's pictures banning you for life

The Valdez forum ride was a good one, special thanks to Spook for being the guide. A lot of people bailed on that ride due to it being on Valentines day weekend, but a lot of the locals showed up so it worked out well. I would like to see another valdez forum ride happen on Hillclimb weekend.
