Like it says I need info on installing liberty based motor in IQ chassis. If I have a complete motor with electronics and carbs and twin pipes, I envision these issues. Will need power addiction motor plate, will need to either build airbox or run pod filters, and finally will need to fit pipes to chassis. What am I missing? Thanks in advance. I want big power without boost, and I think I found the motor to do it.:fish2:

all recent polaris motors are liberty motors...back till like the mid 90's when there were still some fuji's around.

im guessing your meaning the 02-05 800 ves motor?

correct, I am contemplating a 800 (bigblock) liberty from a 05 vertical escape, with union bay 900 billet top-end.

SLP makes pipes for this exact application. Big Block 800 in an IQ.
It's a racer setup so you have to be patient to get em but they can hook you up.

dooood.....this mean your not done? Call Curt...Im sure he'll set ya up with fittin the pipe and all the other goodies.

Yeh D, I am still contemplating. Have a running cfi 4 still but I want this ubr 900 I found on here. Talked to curt today about it. He kind of scared me about life expectency on these but I still think the one I found is good deal. Owner claims it runs with boosted d7. You know anyone who needs a cfi 4 w/ slp twins, poweraddiction head w/ two sets of domes, vf3 reeds, fuel controller, wiseco pistons, 1600 miles.

I'm working on it right now. But my chassis is based off the 06 900. If you get a motor plate from brad, pipes from slp life should be good. I've been watching for a takeoff air box from a turbo to fit for the air box but really you can buy most the hard stuff. That makes the process of signing the check harder is all.

Hey syko, are you running the race twins from slp? The ones for bigblock liberty in IQ chassis? Have you shortened the headpipe to match unionbays recommended tuned length?

Shane Hart (HM turbos, lolo, montana) has a set of the slp pipes for bb800 in iq chassis in stock...had them on ebay for like 675 or so..great guy give him a call. (may have a motorplate as well)

You will have to do a very small amount of cutting to fit the oil pump if you plan to run injection. And shim the motor up about 1/2" to clear the jack shaft. Belt # 3211114

I have tried to fit an air box, but there is just not enough room. Maybe with a different steering shaft and/or oil tank it can be done.

Only from 97 and up when the 700 non ves twin and the 97 valved 440 came out

? I dont understand that last post? Hey Supra, SLP says that the pipe in your pics won 't work without ceramic heat insulating coating? What do you think?
