I should give my poor wife some more praise as I don't give her much of an off season. Once Spring Sledding is done we drag race a of couple old beaters on the tar. Here's to extra money for the shoe collection!!!

Love riding with my wife. I do have fun on the "Boy's Ride" days, but it always seem that something is missing and I think about her all day. Wishing she could be up here enjoying this with me. Granted, she doesn't do all the things I do and I don't expect her to, but she ain't no slouch either. She is talented and know's how to handle a sled and gets better each time.
I think one of the biggest mistakes guys do to try and get their Lady to ride with them, is they put them on an old pile of crap sled with no suspension and don't give them the proper gear. Then they get cold and wet and their butt hurts. Put 'em on a good sled and keep 'em warm and toasty. You won't regret it.

Here's my wonderful wife (the one in red) with one of her riding buddies:

Coming down a hill on her old wedge mod (she loved the M-10 suspension):

Her true passion is horses, though:

I'd rather ride with my Best Friend than anyone else. She's alot of fun to ride with.

Did she catch it? or did it hit the ground. Great timing on the photo.
Where was the pic taken?

That was a successful throw. Can't waste any beer.
Pic was taken coming down off of Tumac in the William O. Douglas Wilderness (between Chinook Pass and White Pass [in WA]). Yea, I got pretty lucky taking the pic, especially with the delay in the digital camera. Luck not skill.

Everyone posting on this thread should sit back and really appreciate how lucky you are to have wives that will ride. I have been married for 15 great years but I just can not get my wife to go sledding. I took her out when we were dating on just a short trail ride and she just did not like it. I do not have very many people to ride with so it would be really nice to have her as a riding partner.
You are all very lucky.

man i feel the same way. i did the same thing with her and she said nope its not me:face-icon-small-sad.

well i feel the opposite, i took the lady friend out once and was happy to hear she wasn't interested in coming out again. sledding and spending time with your lady are best enjoyed separately.

My wife, my partner, my friend

My wife almost every time goes with me and she can hang with the best of us. If she had b@lls they would be bigger than some of the guys I ride with. He snodawg, my wife looks familiar in one of those pics.....:-) :face-icon-small-hap

It's possible that you are the problem, I know a lot of guys that don't have the patience to teach thier lady, or start them off way over thier skill level (terrain and machine). My wife is the most reliable riding partner I have, and handles her modded M8 very well. However, she didn't start with an M8, nor did she climb and boondock well her 1st time out to the hills. Set up a decent sled for HER, and be PATIENT. Offer encouragement and support rather then critisism. Don't push too hard or fast.
