For all the Polaris/ Klim lovers out there!

Not sure why everyone is upset .

I am more upset when I read the add about proudly American made in china sold for a american made Quality product price. Don't get me wrong I have Klim stuff but could really see that curve - it is the standard these days.
Once local companies go down that road and most do it is only a question of time before sell out.

I don't think anyone is upset. This is all about opinions and experiences.

I'm happy as heck for Justin and his family. Some of his employees will thrive in Poo, launch new careers, some always do. And these transactions create new opportunities for budding entreprenuers.

It will be different - it ALWAYS is. I've been in the boardrooms, even of the OEMs, and the discussions would not be about keeping KLIMs people, or Justin, or culture, or products, or vendors, or guarantee, etc., the same. The discussion will always start with opportunity. For Polaris shareholders. And the only way to create that opportunity is to change and lever. They fully PAID for what KLIM is today. What they want - is the way it will be changed tomorrow. Thats how they justify the deal. The rest is just marketeture, the press releases, the promos. We have some great products now, and someone will create even better products tomorrow. KLIM demonstrated the market is there. Better gear for better sleds. Now, the EPA, wilderness initiatives, those are things to get upset about...

Would that booming metropolis be Rigby, China?

NOTHING will change, Klim will stay Klim and Polaris will stay Polaris. No co-branding, no elimination of Klim, no pricing increase. Polaris approached Klim, Polaris wants to build a better garment for the OEM clothing consumer and Klim needed a bigger "BANK" as they grow. To me it's a win/win, Klim can move forward with expanding their line of products and Polaris has access to Klim's garment building expertise. Nobody will lose their job and Klim's day to day will continue as normal. Rigby ID, will be a booming metropolis in the coming months and years with Polaris moving their entire clothing development group there. Polaris will be creating a lot of jobs in that area and I'm sure Klim will be hiring as well.

The only real change is taking place on the business side of things which will not effect either company in a negative way.

I would like to see Polaris spend their dollars on things that would improve their products. Maybe motors enhanced by Carl's or SLP, or belt drives by CMX. Wouldn't it be nice to see a Polaris custom shop sled?
I don't care if Polaris buys Klim,509,GoPro,or Levi,or Twinkie. I just think they should concentrate on the core product.

Been riding in my new Freeride pants size XL tall. So nice to have the tall sizes. I bought a pair of Large Tall but they wouldn't fit over my Forrest Gump style knee braces. Man these pants are tough and as usual the butt is water PROOF! I sit in the ditch when I eat my lunch just to prove how good they are. Knee braces banging into the plastic is really hard on pants but these pants take it all.
