Flying in to Jackson Hole - where should we ride?

Hey everyone! We are flying into Jackson Hole for the holiday and are looking for some great places to ride in the area, although we are willing to travel and stay elsewhere too. Where would you recommend we get some amazing powder riding in? We thought Jackson Hole would allow us some good riding in the area and a visit to yellowstone to see some wildlife, but after researching a bit more it seems like the snowy's and sierra madres may be the place to spend most of our time. We'll by in the area from the 18th-31st so timing is almost endless. Thanks a bunch!

Phillips Canyon.
RIght up the pass from Jackson is some awesome riding. Its kind of a small area but its alot of fun.

Run down to Alpine and you can ride Greys river and some really steep stuff in Star Valley.

Also with that much time you could also run over to Island Park and ride there to.

I recomend Togwotee lodge they will pick you up at the airport bring you to the lodge rent you a sled and guide and off to the best riding the area has to offer....go on the package and you get food, drinks, room, guide you do not have to think about anything but the riding can not be beat......

Wow! Thanks everyone! Sounds like we'll have lots of places to check out. Anyone in the area from the 18-31 interested in joining us for a ride somewhere, let us know. We would love to go with others :-) Knowing of course that at this point, we know nothing LOL! We are staying in Jackson Hole right now as we wanted to be open to all places to sled (not just Togwatee) although its nice to hear all the excitement about that place.

As of this moment they have the best snow! Lower elevations still sketchy now. Togwotee is a safe bet. Where in Jackson will you be?

We're going to be staying right in jackson hole, staying at the Anglers inn. We are just going to be renting some sleds from a local renter.

Alpine is the best riding area in wyoming if you want steep and deep. Togwotee is fun as well with more wide open riding. There are alot of zones in the greater Jackson hole area

No snow in Granite worth riding yet,Alpine is OK and over ridden on a good weekend,Togwotee has more to offer off trail.

Can you post an update when you get there, I'm supposed to be in that area the 24th and wondering how the snow conditions are.
