Flat tops conditions?

Had a group on Sunday, parked at lower lot, should have parked at mid lot. Good snow on road all the way up. Had some dirt coming out Sunday night. As said above on this thread , go to mid lot. Found good riding and snow pack stabilizing. Went only as far as White Owl Lake. Unless we get a lot more snow, you may be able to drive to the top lot soon. Our High Country Snowmobile Club (Summit County) is going on a 3 day trip to Coulter Lodge on the west side of the Flattops this week end. The past few weeks have been kind to the Flattops as far as snow. Close to three feet up there.

Rode 3-11-12 went up on the coffepot side. Parked at the 7 miles and snow was thin on the road from there up. Riding was still good and managed to get a few guys stuck (mostly from breaking through top layers) but had enough mash potato snow to have a good ride. I probably wouldnt race back to ride it again until some new snow IMO. BTW, when we were leaving the groomer parked up at the 7 mile and we gave him a ride down to his truck as he is leaving the groomer there. He also said parking will be at the 10 mile as of Sunday.

We rode the west side Saturday and Sunday out of Coulter Lodge. Saturday we rode as far East as the top of Blair Mountain. Snow was good, no powder though. Snow depth was 4-5 feet near Blair, tapering down to 3 or so on the west side of the Flattops. Set up good on top of sugar.
