Fixing bent bars

It depends upon how hard you ride, where you bent them and how thick the material is with those bent bars. Get a second opinion from a veteran sledder who can look at them instead of trying to diagnose them over the internet. However, most people here will tell you to swap them out b/c it's cheap insurance.

light there just stock bars, The bend is so small, I dont really notice is when i stand on the sled. IF i lay back on the sled and look at the bars you can notice the right hand side (throttle) is a little higher its maybe an inch higher max.

Don't bend them back you'll weaken them worse than they are, for what it cost get new ones you'll save yourself alot of grief in the end. guy I rode with bent his back ended up with 20 plus stitches in his abs when the bar broke. It's not worth trying to straighten out.

Show your dad this thread. I bet he'll change his mind. Either leave them alone, or ideally replace them! Do not bend them back as it will just make them weaker. I am sure he does not want to see you get hurt.

heres what i do
i get my bent bars then i heat them up
bend em back, fill them with spray insulation
then i put them on my sled and take a bar to the chest
thats the most important step then i take out a small to medium loan from wamu checking and buy some new bars

thers a couple cheap sets in the snowest swapmeet/for sale section. there are your stock GEN ll bars, then there are some fancy fly bars for reall cheap man. YOU SHOULD REALLY LOOK INTO IT.
