First Place Parts customer service

Email

Got an email stating my missing items were shipped and enroute which is a fair bit sooner than expected. Thanks FPP!

Also remembered that I ordered a set of HMK bibs last winter. Asked FPP to ship them to me at Togwotee. No problem and they arrived as expected!

Noticed on the FPP website that everyone is wearing sunglasses.... got me thinking.. did a little tracking and digging. I found that a web site named www.anysunglasses.com shares the same physical address as FPP. Me thinking that a person can get some glasses from the folks at first place parts via the aforementioned website? Yay or Nay?

What I don't understand is why a vendor would not ship a partial order of stuff they DO have on hand, Instead you are going to wait until mid January when the back ordered stuff shows up to ship.

Two different vendors one on here FPP and another that is not, were going to do this.

I finally just cancelled the backordered stuff and they are now shipping the stuff they do have.

Surprise surprise, Doorbell rang holy **** both orders are here.

Both shipped yesterday - 1 day delivery Thumbs up to you.

We do not hold orders very long, usually a couple or few days, if we have to order an item. If one or a few items are on back order, for and extended period of time, we will ship what we have in stock and the invoice will show what is on back order. In most cases the order is held for about two or three days if we have to order something.

Thanks
Mark

Yes, we also own www.AnySunglasses.com. We started that site in 2001 and that is what led to www.FirstPlaceParts.com in 2005. We plan on doing a total makeover of the sunglass site once the snow season is over.

Thanks
Mark

FPP I am actually waiting on a joe parsons lens and I have talked to some of the representatives from FPP about finding it with no luck. It was supposed to be shipped from 509 to FPP then onto me, but no results yet and it has been about two weeks. Could you please pm me so we can discuss this further? Thanks

Lens

PM sent.

If anyone else has an issue just post with your order number, I don't need names, the order number will tell me everything I need to know.

Thanks
Mark

I have had excellent service dealing with FPP, even during the Black Friday rush. I ordered and received a pile of stuff during this time. I phoned and e-mailed and both were answered promptly. Had similar experience last year when I ordered more stuff as well.

On another note I've also had some of the best customer service I've ever experienced from Motorfist up here in Canada. I had a set of Rekon bibs with a tear in the leg that I sent for warranty work, but I explained to them that I was headed to McBride for a ride in a week. They sent me a brand new set of warranty loaners before they received my repair set and I never lost any time at all. Pretty decent I thought, 2 thumbs up from here for both these business's.

poor buggers can't win...I chewed them out one year because they sent the partial order (but I was paying shipping to Canada)..

So they tried doing the right thing and still didn't have a happy customer but then they sent the B/O stuff on their dime so all was fine.

But just saying, what is a win for one customer is not a win for the other..

Its a tough racket, I feel for the vendors ...

One huge thing FPP could do to improve is hire someone to do nothing but answer the phone. Ive given up calling them, its easier to drive 10 minutes across town and go to the store.

work load

I agree the 10 min drive is quicker, however as a business owner here in ABR, good help is very hard to find, marginal help is just as hard, and anything else is just a waste of time, Even Burger king can't find people to staff their store, and that is just marginal help. FPP is always great for us, It always seems that something is waiting to be shipped from the supplier not their fault, Was in there Saturday Had at least 8 people working, And I could hardly get in the store they were so busy, this is only a town of 26000 people, and I would guess locals are only about 1% of their business. Just goes to show when the prices are awesome, the gear is great customers will come. So for all of us locals THANK YOU FPP.

I placed a order with them back in November and have yet to hear from First Place Parts. I have called everyday for the last week and sent them a email too. I don't know what else to do?

Edit- I posted this after reading the title and not the entire thread. It looks like First Place Parts is stepping in helping on this thread so I will see if I can get help from them here.
