Fernie snow drags

Brent linderman winner at fernie

Brent Linderman won on his 1720 psi walking away from everone with ease. There has never been a turbo yamaha win at fernie yet . In the new stock turbo class it was tyler dingerville on a 900 cat turbo 2 stroke, also done by brent at arctic edge.

Brent Linderman rocks. he's working on some tm1000's right now for buddy, and he can't wipe the grin off his face. He's coming off a tapex. as soon as we get a chance, we're going to line up the 2 (apex and m1000) for a real world comparison. by feel, he thinks the m1000 will take it, feels real light and tonnes of power. hopefully soon we get the chance. Anyways, just a plug for Brent. He does a bang up job.

Noob, I rode your Buddy's sled this weekend & I agree it rips, but it needs a shot of NOS before it is going to be winning any races. I was racing him in the Superbowl with a 13lb boosted Nytro (Tyler Earls) & killing him off the line. After the hole shot we were about the same. Then Tyler came over & turned up the Boost!! Neil raced that Cat several times & they wern't even on the same hill... Now I realize that this was the Maiden Voyage for this Kitty & after riding 3 days with it I am very impressed, but more in the deeper snow where the weight factor kicks in. I had a blast riding it, & I believe there is a lot more in it then what it showed there, Brent & J were going out this week to figure out some more A/F settings & also some clutching. My opinion is this is going to be a contender, but not a Champion. If anyone can get more out of this Kitty it will be Brent...Thanks to young Tyler for letting me Test (Bag) his Nytro time & time again. I offered to trade but he wouldn't go for it. LOL I am totally impressed with T Nytro's... NOOB, for the record Baker & me tryed to get J. on the Kitty to try Swenson Street after Phil & Scooter but i think there were still a few kinks to work out. He will try it next time though...Just mention Cat Hair to him LOL.

Irmen, give us the goods on Fernie. Not trying to juice you for finishing 2nd, just want to hear from someone that was there.

Set up for those riding yamahas with their stock turbos, to bad they had to watch an old cat take it from them
Thats funny stuff right there. I bet he takes that old cat out to the mountains and beats on it every weekend without to much fuss. You should ask Brent if he can build you a sled with the same motor as his because you want to go play in 4 ft of pow, ride the trees, and then hammer some chutes wide open for 20-30 seconds at a time. LOL I am not discounting his wisdom, but this is a single purpose engine I would assume.

the first thing I will say is this was a first class event. The club puts it on with alot of help from the dealers and the town. If anyone gets a chance they should go it was alot of fun! They also had some events on that were a part of their grizz days, made for a fun event.

The track held up unbelivable for the whole day, dont know how many racers were there but prob 100 or so.

The stock turbo class was for sled with a turbo only and a couple of lite weight components, no nitros, so they are basically stock apearing sleds. There was around 20 sleds entered, mcx nitros and apexs, alpine nitros and one rx1, powderlites nitro, and prob 6 or so cats. (not sure on their kits or size) I went unbeaten through the eliminations so I got a by into the final, it came down to me against a cat he had to beat me twice to get the win since I had beaten him earlier in the day. First run was so close I dont think either of us knew who won, we got back to the line they waved us in again so he had won. Now we change lanes and race again, I got a better hole shot the second time and was out front. I ran out of gas! hahaha my sled just nosed down then came back then nosed down again and he passed me 30ft from the line. Even a yamaha wont run without fuel. LOL His sled was real fast he had beaten alot of sleds to get there and beat me twice for the win.

When it came to the open class all I can say is linderman has his sled ripin! I was winning during the eliminators and feeling real good when I drew him. Well I was ancious to see how fast his sled was, all I can say is I wasent disapointed, its fast!! He whoped me by 4 or 5 lenghts puling away. I had my probs so was still looking forward to making the final and geting another shot at the champ. I made it through to the final and was pumped, after a few more runs I was getting my sled running a lil faster. We left the line close he had about a half a sled length, I was helpless as I watched him leaving me behind. I pushed the button for my 2nd stage nos and thought I was gaining for a second but I ran outa nos and my sled puffed a big black streak from being rich. It wouldnt have mattered anyway he never even hit his nos, he told me later he was waiting for me to get close then only if he had to would he hit it.

The man is the king! Linderman is super fast and a great guy. He also had a bunch of other cats turbo'd there that he had done, all ran wicked and were rite there to the end in the stock turbo class. If I was looking at doin a t'cat there would be one guy I would take it to and that is Brent Linderman!!

Cant wait to head there next year, first time ever running a sled in a drag race and man it was a blast!! Thanxs to all the guys who take the time to put events like this on. Cheers
