Ferguson family

Many of you have heard of the tragic car accident that happened last Saturday in Cache Valley that took two precious children. I thought I would post this link in Snowest because this family lives for snowmobiling after all of the football and basketball games are over. Jace is the father, and I am proud to say he is my best friend. He is the first person to help others out. He has given others his spare gloves so they could get their frozen hands warm again, knowing that the gloves would never return. He left his shovel once to some teenagers that foolishly drove their jeep beyond the snow barricade in Providence canyon and got stuck. He stayed to help as long as he could, and had them almost out, but he had an appointment to get to so we had to leave them but they were out shortly after we left. Gage is his oldest boy and also the craziest sledder I have ever ridden with. Little M'guire and Bridger were following in the footsteps of their dad and older brothers. You could drive by their house on any given day in the winter, and you would see the sleds out in the fields. the older kids were always pulling the little ones around on tubes.... most of the time they were flat, because they had too many tears to be fixed. But that's the Ferguson's for you.... they would tie a tarp to the back of the sleds for the little ones to sit on if they had to, just so the smaller kids could be involved! Anyway, these stories go on and on. Since today is my birthday (and also the day the Ferguson's will lay to rest to precious little angels) is that we in the sledding community rally around this hurting family. Please remember them in you thoughts and prayers.... and if you can, help them out in anyway you can. Thanks http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=13739282

Thanks for posting. I pray that god will bless them and comfort the family in this rough time.

WOW! I couldn't even imagine. Sorry for the loss of your friends children.
I really feel for the driver and all the pain she will be dealing with as well.

May they find peace.:rose:

Great post! I know that our whole community here in the valley is praying for the family.

This is absolutely heartbreaking! :brokenheart: :face-icon-small-sad :brokenheart:

As I read this, tears began to flow. As much as this pains me with not knowing them, it has to be devastating to the family.

My thoughts and prayers to friends and family. :rose:

I heard doctors talking about this on Sat when I was in the Logan ER with family. Come to find out my dad is cousins with the kids grandma and he just got back from the services. I just cant imagine such a terrible thing to deal with right before Christmas. My heart and prayers go out to them. What a great family and what an amazing 6 year old to speak at the service.:brokenheart:

If possible I would encourage all those capable to fore go a day of riding and donate the cost of the fuel and oil to the family. It seems a small sacrifice for a family in great need.

Thanks for the thoughts, prayers and suggestions. I agree with mtnpull... if you are able to help them please do, you can go to Wells Fargo and they can help you to do that. But if it comes down to riding or donating to the family, then GO RIDE!!! Jace would never ask somebody to stay home. But if you do choose to ride, here is what he would want you to do..... when it's time to shut the sled down and take a break, pull up to another group of riders, and just chill out with them, even if you don't know them. Life is too short to go around thinking that your the top dawg and others are inferior, or that everyone sucks cuz their sleds are yellow/green/red/or whatever the flavor may be. Just have fun that's all. K bye...... and thanks again!

My heart sunk when I first heard this story on the news. Thank you for helping us put an even more human connection to the tragedy. They sound like great people and deserve our support, thoughts, and prayers. This place, especially all of you here in this Utah Section, are known for your generosity. I believe this to be one of the finest traits a person can possess. God bless the little ones, the family, and all those who mourn.
