Anybody go up farmington today?

I was up last Friday it was almost no visibility we left fairly early.

But I bet today was amazing snow if you could see.

Appreciate any reports.

I have been up to Bountiful countless times, but only to Farmington twice in the fog. I would love to hook up with someone that can lead the way up there. Any takers on being tour guide?
 
I have been waiting for safe snow conditions before I head up to farmington.
As soon as it is safe(er) I would like to head up that way... I know the northern side pretty good.
I usually ride up from peterson, but the land issues between the owners gets worse every year.
May have to drive up the canyon from now on.
 
Just got home.

It was amazing.

Deep snow.

Did not see avalanches. Snow appeared to be stable. Watched a back county skier do some tests on the snow and even hitting the shovel hard it did not give.

We had a great day!

How much snow did you guys get out of this last storm?

Thinking of driving down tomorrow. 12 hour drive... is it worth it.

Seems like everyone needs some fresh pow!

if your driving 12 hours down here, i would just stop in star valley wyoming... it would only be a 9 hour drive and better snow ;)

snow squals over farmington, probably put down an inch or so in about 20 minutes then gone... Farmington only reported 6" new overnight, a little further south in wasatch they saw up to 12" new snow

Alpine is the north end of star valley... last weekend they were turning on 2+ feet of new snow and its been snowing up there all week... (did i just say that out loud? :o)
 
Just got back from bountiful. It was blowing real hard and snow conditions sucked.It was real sugary and Ice pack under the new snow couldn't get the sled to bite at all. There was also allot of rollerballing going on and a couple of natural avy's.


Here is a pic a one we saw.

That sucks, I was hoping to get out for 2 hours this afternoon... wanted to do a few ski runs down banner... your saying its not worth it? :(

If you head up bountiful you can drive all the way up to dead mans and save your runners the snow has really mealted
