Factory recalls

there was an update for shorter limiter strap bolts, also they would retorque the brake caliper.

I could be wrong completely, but weren't both those like a tsb? Only "recall" I remember is the stop ride ecm reflash?, again I could be wrong lol.
 
yeah probably not a recall another thing i was told was a thing to watch for was fuel injector lines, or harness rubbing on the front of the tunnel. had the hood off and checked it and it wasnt rubbing.

this is what I was interested in, so there is no recall to relocate wiring. Fix it yourself deal or take it to dealer mechanic. I use to work on everything but ......I"m 80 now so it seems like a 2 hr job has become an 8 hr job. Now I pick and choose what I want to tear into. My dealer is 90 miles away, so best take there and see what they have to say. The general opinion on here seems to be not to use cat reflash. Mine runs great so I'm going to leave it alone. One thing I did do that turned out nice was adding a bottle of water wetter.. It brought temp down 9* under identical conditions. I can ride a little slower if I want to without red light coming on.
 
on the new sleds the hoods are much easier to take off than the 12-17 models. i do think i had to take the fuel tank off to see the injector wires and fuel lines though. i think the info i was given on the injector lines was that they may need to be turned a little bit or zip tied to the side so they wouldnt rub on anything. when i checked mine they looked fine though. i also dont have the cat reflash and mine has ran perfect. i have aftermarket y pipe, pipe, and a muffler on mine and its flawless.
 
same here have not done the reflash and seems to be fine so going to leave it.
